to bad for the price

Hotel, Grounds and Restaurant were excellent, but the checking in process late at night was a Nightmare. I reserved TWO Rooms for my wife & I and for another couple traveling with us. When the clerk only gave me a access key for ONE Room, I asked about the key for the second room and she tells me the reservation only had for one room and then starts to tell me that they can provide a LARGE Roll- Away Bed for in our room ?!?! I asked het to check if the 2nd room was possibly listed another our friends names and it was NOT? Fortunately I printed my document that [...]provides (Showed I paid for 2 rooms and had all of our names on it) and showed it to them - all of a sudden another room was available and then all was fine.

Wir waren zur mexikanischen Ferienzeit im Hotel. es war überfüllt und laut. Unser Zimmer lag in Richtung Partymeile: sehr schöne Aussicht, aber bis morgens extrem laute Musik. Um eine Liege am Pool zu bekommen, musste man sich sehr früh auf die Beine machen. Die Angestellten schoben zwischendurch die liegen so zusammen, dass man nur noch draufklettern konnte. Also musste immer einer bei den Liegen bleiben, um dies zu unterbinden. Frühstücksbuffet war, wenn man jeden morgen dort isst, zu teuer. Außerhalb gab es genug Möglichkeiten, oder zuvor in einem Supermarkt Kleinigkeiten einkaufen. Ist dann sehr günstig. Die Reinigungskraft des Zimmers war etwas aufdringlich. Obwohl das Schild "Bitte nicht Stören" an der Tür hing, wurde trotzdem mehrfach am Tag angerufen und geschellt/geklopft. Auch wenn man am Telefon gesagt hat, heute bitte nicht reinigen, erst morgen, stand die Reinigungskraft noch gegen 22:00 Uhr vor der Tür. Ansonsten ein sehr schönes Hotel.

Hotel is very comfortable, mid century modern furniture (50's)and a nice and helpful staff. Hotel is in the old part of Acapulco, while at the hotel is great it's very run down and poor around the hotel. You will constantly be asked for money for everything imagineable Security at the hotel is good though, you just have to be aware of what's around you and make the best of it.

Thoroughly enjoyable. We went with this for the value to get a warm beach vacation in during the winter. Acapulco is 90 degree weather during the "winter". A 6star resort this is not, but for the price we were very pleased. Beach front in the main Acapulco bay, easy access to great restaurants, the cliff divers, isla roqueta, CiCi waterpark where you can swim with a dolphin for $75, etc

Siento que le falta mantenimiento de pintura al hotel en general, el baño de la habitacione 1506 es extremadamente pequeño y la iluminación del mismo nula, lo mismo para el gimnasio. Por otro lado la atencion educación y la calidad en el servicio de todos los empleados es excelente, muchas felicidades.

EVERYONE is wonderful!!! From the front desk to the housekeeping staff. Had a great room!!! Swam in a great pool!!! Ate great food!!! Had a great time!!!!

We own a time share at Torra Blanca, but want to see how different staying in the city. We had a great time visiting family and enjoying many sights just as Taxco, cliff divers, Papagoy park, shopping and eat great food.

The pool is nice and so is the beach. There food at the restraunt is expensive. The hotel is very clean and the staff is very courteus.

HOTEL IS OLD BUT CLEAN WERY GOOD LOCATION POOL IS CLEAN AND BIG FOOD NOT SO GOOD NO COFFE MACHINE IN ROOM

Pictures lies, hotel needs remodeling, elevator wasn't working.....Overall very clean and employes there are very helpful and very nice..

I would like to say it was ok. The room was great. I mean one of the best rooms and view that I have ever had. Now on the other hand I do not speak spanish. When I first arrived I could not be checked in because the two people at the front desk did not speak any english. Luck for me my partner is Mexican so I had him check us in. So next we go to the resturant and my partner goes to the bathroom and I thought I would order, wrong again the staff in the resturant did not speak english (btw the food in the resturant was the worst). So this place is great for someone who speaks spanish and eats somewhere else.

Good location, big rooms, excellent staff. Perfect choose for rest with your couple.

The hotel has perferct location. Our room on the 10th floor, it has nice view, you can see almost all the bay. But the A/C in the room is very noisy, we can not sleep well in the night. Besides this everything is above the normal, i recommend you to go.

Really the only complaint was that the beds were rock hard. The rooms were huge and the views were breathtaking, we had the Bahia Suite with a full ocean view. The food at the restaurant was surprisingly delicious. The wait staff knew us by name after just one visit, they also were able to get items that were not on the menu so dont be afraid to ask. There were 8-9 pools on the property, including and adult only area on the 3rd floor were all the screaming kids were banned from. The main pool had an in pool bar with a waterfall. The prices were a little high but well worth it due to the great and helpful staff and the convienience.

We stayed in this hotel for a couple of days in Christmas December 2010. Overall the hotel is fine especially we were impressed by amazing ocean view. the hotel was a bit overcrowded, noisy, internet connection was free but so slow that it was just not used.

Was in acapulco for spring break to explore and just have fun. Hotel was ok, decent rooms and friendly staff... My friend and I both got the all inclusive package and thought the food was lacking..it was good on some days bit for the most part it was mediocre.. I recommend not getting all inclusive and just eat at some local restaurants, which are great!! My stay would also be more enjoyable if they had a bar at the beach, or waiters taking drink orders at the beach and bringing them to you... This was not the case at the copa overall the copa was ok, lots of spring breakers were there and there was plenty of entertainment by the pool everyday

I had a great experience with this hotel. It was a holiday weekend and the hotel I normally stay in was full. That was lucky for me. This hotel has been recently refurbished and was clean and felt like a new hotel. It is perfectly located near everything. Great private beach cove. Most importantly the staff was helpful. Paula at the front desk helped me with several things and she and others seem to actually enjoy their jobs. Great service. Really, I never write reviews and I am often negative about hotels, but my experience was so good that I decided to write one this time. We left for a day to go to Pie de la Cuesta, but decided to come back early for another day at this hotel. It is right next to El Presidente, a hotel whose rooms haven't been renovated since the 70's and at another hotel--I've blocked the name out--I got locked in the bathroom for an hour. It can be hit or miss with Acapulco hotels. This is where I will stay from now on.

The elevator only goes up at lobby and won't stop at any level when goes down unless you call the reception and reserve the service 10 minutes before. It takes another 10 minutes if you miss it. The facilities are old but acceptable. The lobby is crowed and not clean. I don't get why it is a four star hotel. Anyway, I won't come back again and recommend it either.

I arrived on thursday and left Sunday. I couldn't sleep until 6am on any night because the music on the bar outside is unbelievably loud. I couldn't hear properly for a week after the vacation, but the doctor said my hearing should return, which it did. Sort of unbelievable. I had one of the nicer ocean facing rooms on the 14 th floor, but still loud.

GREAT OCEAN SWIMMING, THE OCEAN IS SO WARM. PERFECT WATER TEMPERATURE. BEST NATURAL SPA. LOCAL PEOPLE GIVE THE BEST MASSAGES ON THE BEACH WHILE LISTENING TO THE WAVES. CHECK THEIR HANDS FIRST TO SEE IF THEY HAVE FUNGUS OR SOMETHING LIKE THAT IN THEIR HANDS. NEEDS LITTLE "EXTRAS" IN THE ROOMS SUCH AS: HAIR CONDITIONER, BODY LOTION. TOWELS LOOK VERY OLD. DEFINITELY THE HOTEL NEEDS TO BUY NEW ONES. GREAT VIEWS FROM THE HOTEL ROOM.

Great place to stay, this is my fourth trip to acapulco and I have always stayed at this hotel

La Siesta was under renovation. My room was clean but the water pressure was very low. The pool area was small and next to a vacant lot filled with debris. The BIGGEST disappointment was the distance from the hotel to the main ave(Costera Miguel Blvd). Leaving the hotel, the walk is about a 1/2 mile to a 1 mile downhill.If you are not in good shape, getting back to the hotel walking uphill will almost kill you. Walking to Costera Miguel Blvd may not be for you, take a taxi instead!!! Next time I will definitely stay at a beachfront hotel on the main ave.

Excellent location. It is a great hotel for the price. If you are looking for a place that is close to the clubs and beach this is the place for you. The people at the hotel are really friendly. Don't forget to tip and you will get a great service....

if la lupita wasnt there i would not go o acapulco nothing is too much trouble for the staff but i shouldnt go on iwant to keep paradise for my self

the staff make everything a pleasure extra towels no problem

The refrigerator was not working. The bed without covers. The shower very old. No bedds on the beach. The beds at the swimming pool in terrible conditions.

It is a beautiful location. But it is surrounded by hotels with working elevators, working internet in the rooms (you know because you can pick up the other hotel's internet--but you don't have the code) and recently painted. The hotel needs a lot of work. The worse part is that you could stay in a great hotel for the same price near by. We decided to leave even though we had paid for two days on Orbitz. Tip--if you don't know a hotel, just pay for one day until you see the actual place.

The week we were in Acapulco, the majority of the people that were staying at this hotel were from Mexico City - so we really felt like we visiting a "foreign" country (unlike Cancun, when we felt like we were in Miami). The entire staff was terrific - especially the activities team. They went out of their way to make us feel welcome - way more than just translating every activity so that we could participate. The only negative parts of the hotel experience were the hard beds (as many people have mentioned previously), the annoying "beach vendors", and that the rooms did't come equipped with irons and ironing boards, hair dryers or blankets. We were able to get what we needed, but this is the first time I had every had to "sign out" a hairdryer at a hotel. The positives far outweighted the negatives, and we would definitely stay in this hotel on any return trips to Acapulco. But, I wish I would have known that the nicer restaurant only operates from November to mid-March. I didn't realize we would be eating buffet style for every meal. Good wholesome family food at the buffet, and nice desserts. Glad to see my kids eats lots of fruits and vegetables Great place for a relaxing family vacation. Very few people in the 18-30 year old range. If I was still young and single I might look somewhere else to vacation. Even though this was an all-inclusive, no one here was over imbibing or prancing around in only wet t-shirts during their Spring Break (yeah!).

The hotel has a good location however the bulding conditions are not the best, they should improve the staff attention as well
