We were a little surprised

  • Penny Beach Girl

This hotel was a good base to visit several nice beach locations. We were however surprised that about 40 Federal Police moved in during the second half of our stay. Our group was somewhat concerned. Also the staff has a very poor command of English. I realize that we are in their country but since tourism is a very important part of their culture, I don't think that its unreasonable for the wait staff to have a basic understanding of the foods that they serve with such a limited menu. The last day that we were there no one at our table of four got what they ordered at breakfast.

Real Mexico

"Familiar" means families and there were lots of little kids, well behaved and restricted to two of the five pools. I was the only gringo, which is fine and made me aware that I was in another country rather than the golden zone high rise hotels which are like Miami or Cancun. The only problem was noise: young neighbors who played loud, bad music 20 hours a day (I got my room changed); a terrible band in the outdoors bar til 11:00pm weekends; and a children's birthday party under a tent that sounded like chuck e cheese's til 10:00pm. Otherwise, the price, service, location, view and helpful staff were great.

Hotel vecchiotto ma in posizione splendida per vedere i tuffatori (il ristorante è esattamente di fronte alla roccia dalla quale si tuffano). Belle piscine nella roccia. Tutte le stanze sono fronte mare.

"GORGEOUS LITTLE GETAWAY"

  • IGUANA 13
  • 3 Jan 2010
GAY COUPLE SPENDING NEW YEARS AT RESORT. WE WERE UPSET WHEN CHECKING IN (LONG WAIT) AND FRONT DESKINFORMED US THAT THERE WAS NO RECORD OF OUR PAYMENTWHICH WAS PURCHASED & CHARGED TO OUR CREDIT BACK IN MARCH 09. FRONT DESK TOLD US WE WOULD HAVE TO PAY THEROOM ONCE AGAIN. THATS WHEN MY PARTNER WENT BALLISTIC. IT TOOK ONE OF THE EMPLOYEES [...] TOFIGURE IT ALL OUT. WE WERE PUT IN A LOVELY OCEAN VIEWROOM. WE USUALLY STAY IN THE ROMANO PALACE ON CONDESA BEACH WHEN WE COME TO ACAPULCO BUT WE WANTED TO TRY SOMETHING DIFFERENT. MY SUGGESTION TO ANYONESTAYING AT ACAMAR IS IT SITS ONE THE LOVELIEST BEACHIN ACAPULCO. THE WATER IS WARM,VERY SAFE FOR SWIMMINGFAMILIES WOULD LOVE IT. THE DOWNSIDE IS YOU MUST HAVEPESOS AT ALL TIMES. BECAUSE THE PEOPLE, BUSINESSES ON CALETA BEACH WHERE THIS RESORT SITS. DO NOT TAKE DOLLARS. ATM MACHINES ARE HARD TO COME BY ON THIS SIDE OF TOWN. THIS BEACH CATERS MORE TO MEXICAN FAMILIES ON HOLIDAYS, THAN AMERICANS . IT IS STILL A LITTLE SLICE OF HEAVEN COMPARED TO THE SOMEWHAT LOUD AND OBNOXIOUS CONDESA BEACH I HOPE THIS REVIEW WAS SOMEWHAT HELPFUL
