Here, in perfect harmony with its natural surroundings rises Camino Real Acapulco Diamante, an architectural development that seems to be sculpted in the rock. The golden tones of its walls harmonize with the turquoise blue of the sea and the diverse green hues of the lush and beautiful vegetation.
The canopies that decorate the terraces bring to mind the elegance of European hotels. All of our 157 exquisitely decorated rooms and suites have a scenic view of Puerto Marques Bay.
The International Airport is just fifteen minutes South from the hotel, and the Costera Miguel Aleman and Acapulco's Downtown are located fifteen minutes North from the hotel.
Camino Real Acapulco Diamante has three beautiful swimming pools with an oceanview, in different levels, with a waterfall and a volleyball net, for the enjoyment and pleasure of our guests.
We have two specialty restaurants for the most demanding palate:
La huerta, with international cuisine and open from 7:00 am till 11:00 pm
La Vela a seafood restaurant where our specialty is the pescado a la talla. It is open from 1:00 pm till 6:00 pm (lunch) / from 6:00pm till 11:00 pm (dinner).
We also offer other food options, such as the Lobby Bar: Open 10:00am till midnight, and the Pool Bar, where you will find Mexican specialty dishes.
In the tobacco shop you will find a variety of beach clothes, sunscreens, regional candy, and typical crafts of Guerrero, among many other things.

With friends here for a couple of days after a week in their timeshare at Grand Mayan Palace..
We have stayed at this hotel before and had just as nice an experience. The view is quite spectacular and the ambience is very calming.. The lower level swimming pool (below the waterfall) is really special...

Excellent for family with kids
We enjoyed little beach, very safe for kids. Happy hour was good (mexican beers and tequilas); kids free at breakfast was a good deal! Hotel location is far from downtown Acapulco and Diamante and very prived, 2kms driven from principal way. many stairs, so watch kids and ederly persons. Hotel prohibited you came with your own meal or groceries, even drinks. Parking is 6 dollar everyday! Should be included. Overall good place.

"The good, the bad, and the really ugly"
The Good... The Hotel has a great location inside an exclusive place of Acapulco. So if you are looking for privacy and a good place to spend time in family, this is the best choice. The Bad... It takes something like an hour to be attended in the pool area. The Bar is located at the bottom of the hotel so the attenders needs to go there each time that you order something. The Ugly... The service is not the best. I mean, it is supposed that this is a 5 star hotel. The services seems to be as if you were at a 2 star hotel.

A fabulous end to a wonderful get away
We stayed for a two night stay ending our our first stay in Acapulco. Having only two nights here we didn't want to leave the hotel. On the beach there are jet skis ,kayaksand banana boats to rent. The first week we stayed at our timeshare we always know what to expect, very nice! But I needed to find a place to meet up with our flight. So read the reviews on "The Camino Real Diamante".We arrived a bit early and they checked us right in, the room was lovely but a large palm blocked our view.I requested a different room. They put us right into another room with a fabulous view! Comfy beds and friendly staff. Very accomodating! The food is a very pleasant experience, from the pool bar,the main level and the Medditerrainean resturant( fabulous dinner)! The drinks are very tasty and fairly priced. We will suggest to our friends and family. We will go back again. From the food to the rooms to the staff . Just one thing to keep in mind the hotel next door has a party dock that plays some loud music Saturday night. But otherwise.

We Liked It
Check in was smooth and pleasant. Room comfortable with extended LR area and balcony with sea view. Air conditioning was noisy and water just lukewarm for most of the stay (ok it was so hot outside we did not feel it to be a bother). Pools and beach very pleasant, quiet bay was very nice to swim in for my 8 year old son. Poolside service was very good. Restaurant Las Velas was just okay, very slow service. If you are looking to be away from the crowded Acapulco Bay/downtown scene this is the place for you. However you will need a car/taxi to get anywhere.

Gorgeous Location
The drive from the scenic highway down to the hotel is really breathtaking. Its the kind of exotic location and ambiance one imagines when picturing Acapulco, without the hustle and bustle of a big Latin American city. Most staff actively greeted me as I walked through the pool areas, beach and gardens. Food seemed reasonably priced in the International Restaurant one floor above the Lobby Bar. I thought the soft drinks were a little steep at $3.50 for a can of mineral water. The room (723) was bright with a spacious balcony overlooking the bay. Some of the furnishings seemed a little worse for the wear as did some fittings in the bathroom. Some of the public areas needed a touch up with chipped steps and paint scuffs. The Spa has a steam room but you must make an appointment and can only use it for 20 minutes? Couple of annoying bathroom details: the tub-shower combination has a shower curtain which billowed far into the tub area when I showered. The rod would be better placed outside of the glass panes which enclose the corners of the tub. Another annoying detail: above the handsink in the bath is a sign which informs guests that water and ice are purified water, leading one to think the water is safe to drink. Not the case. The front desk told me the water is not safe to drink. I did get the sense that although the hotel accepted my half price reservation through a popular website, they wanted to make money. They also demanded my "coupon" when I checked in and were not going to honor my rate unless I produced it. Luckily I had saved the email and was able to print it out. There was a bit of a nickle and dime "gotcha" approach... charging for everything from internet (about $15/day,) parking ($5/day,) and bottled water on the vanity ($2.50/sm bottle.) Still, the small private beach, the waves washing over the giant rocks, the countless terraces and landscaped areas made for a lovely setting for relaxing. Room Service for breakfast was good, hot and fast (less than 20 minutes at rush hour.) Lourdes in the restaurant is a gem, she chatted amiably with me on a variety of subjects and seemed knowledgable as well as refined. Had a problem with the front desk as I left. The clerk refused to give me a copy of the bill because I booked through a website. I never heard of such a thing, but he was adamant. Later, I offered to sign my incidentals charge sheet but he said it wasn't necessary and let me leave. As I was driving away the doorman stopped my car in the middle of the road and the clerk came out to have me sign the credit card voucher. I asked him why he didn't have me sign it when I offered to sign the other sheet. All he said was "credit card slips must be signed." It was embarassing and the experience left a bad taste in my mouth after such a pleasant stay. All in all this is not a new property but the location and water features are simply fantastic and most of the staff seem to be genuinely warm and helpful.

Think twice before driving in the center of old Acapulco and on the highway going toward Mexico City after the tunnel. Municipal police stopped me twice on Sunday and shook me down for $1000 pesos each time. They showed me the fine schedule for my supposed infractions which would have totaled almost ten times that much and were going to hold my licence until I could appear in Court during the week. I bargained them down to $1000 (about $80 US) each time but it was an unpleasant experience to say the least which left me glad to be leaving Acapulco.
