We enjoyed this hotel as a romantic getaway...This was our fourth stay at El Mirador...Again, we were very pleased with the staff who always provide friendly service. The hotel is older, but the rooms are comfortable and the beauty of the landscape & unique design of the hotel are worth every peso. The hotel offers an inexpensive breakfast buffet with a gorgeous oceanfront view. No shopping within walking distance, however the hustle and bustle on the main drag isn't far away by car....

Mexico Hotel
I took many pictures of the cliff, toured the area and attended a wedding. There was nor clock radio, refrigerator, microwave, and iron. I realized the conveniences we have here in the State are not considered the right of guests to have in their hotel rooms. It would have made the stay more enjoyable and affordable.

Short walk from hotel
Eating in the hotel is very expensive, walking down the street is a local restaurant I saw some hotel workers eating at this restaurant. You can save a lot of money for something else.

Great view
I loved the breakfast buffet. Lots of stairs and no elevators here. Stayed here for the cliff divers and the great view that this hotel offers of the ocean and sunset. Staff is great but the hotel is outdated and in a desperate need of an update. They don't even have access to the internet!

Great Location for the Price!
We toured Aculpoco and enjoyed seeing the city. We came to spend a couple of days in advance of embarking on the Panama Canal cruise on the Island Princess.

Grand view
My wife and I loved it. Our room faced the pacific and we enjoyed the dive shows in the evening. The Ocean moderated the tempature with cool ocean breezes. The staff was responsive to our needs and treated us with respect and immediate attention. the hotel is located in traditional acapulco (old) and that was fine with us because we weren't around all the other turistos. Also, the Hotel did a good job of keeping the street vendors away from the patrons. Food was excellant, service great, and though my wife and I do not speak spanish, eventually everyone figured it out. I would have liked wifi excess from the hotel, but there are plenty of internet cafes nearby. If a walker is required, wheelchair, or heart condition, you may want to think twice about El Mirador, because of all the stairs. I will stay there again if I'm back in Acapulco.

Sightseeing tip:
Short walk from hotel
Small shops, cafes, The old church and center and the port of acapulco all were within 15 minutes walking. If you used the taxis, then essentially everything was within 20 minutes and the prices were cheap, with the Hotel Mirador offering fair guidance with the posting of the taxi rates to various locations.
