Pretty good place to stay

The hotel was pretty nice and I enjoyed the stay. The staff was very helpful. And the rooms were cleaned everyday. The location of the hotel is pretty far from many of the attractions. If you are booking any events like Xel-Ha or Xcaret, be ready to go to a meeting point because they do not travel out far enough to pick you up from the hotel. Renting a car is ideal but if taking the taxi or bus make sure they understand that the hotel is near the ferry because there is another hotel that sounds just like it. The wifi connection is a bit of a pain because the router is at a location closer to the pool so the signal strength is pretty weak. Step out onto the balcony for a somewhat better signal. When checking out, no one would take the keys. But we found out that the keys should just be left in the room.

Amara condos Cancun

we really like it so much, but what we hate is the location. Every thing else was really good. Also, the staff over there speak just Spanish and because of that you have to be a Spanish speaker or you know Spanish. That's all what i have and enjoy over there. You will love it trust me.

Good Deal

Besides having a problem to find this place due to the name that was not the corect one as it was given to us, this place was perfect for someone who wants to enjoy a quiet vacation out of the noise hotel area.

We had a wonderful week! Tony and Natalie were extremely helpful and were there at every turn to assist with our stay. Our time was limited but they remained patient and helpful as we did our best to come to conclusions about our excursions during our visit.

Dining tip: Short drive from hotel

On our last night, we visited the "Hacienda El Mortero Restaurante." We really enjoyed ourselves and the Mariaci band was exceptional! Taco Maran in the Plaza Des Americanas was a great meal for not a lot of pesos. On Isla Mujeres, Casa Rolandi Restaurante was exceptional! Another great evening was enjoyed at the Bandoneon Sabor Tango. The food was phenomenal and the wait staff was all we could have hoped for.

Nice family getaway

The condo apartment itself is really nice! You have a beautiful relaxing ocean view and it is located close to the center part of Cancun which is about a block or two away. This is where you can have access to the market place, to fill up your refrigerator, and restaurants, if you like to dine, however you can get lost easily due to the lack of visible street names. Nonetheless, this is a peaceful get away for anyone. Also, make sure to arrive in the afternoon, around 3pm, otherwise you will be lucked out. There is no central office or concierge to check in to, it makes it difficult to get in close to midnight. You need someone to give you the key to the apartment and you may not be on the guest list right away. There is a lack of communication between the person giving you the key and the security guards, they said they are still working on this. Guest will feel unwelcome if no one is available to receive you so make sure to arrive in the afternoon. Checking in was my only concern. Otherwise, staff is great and the apartment is wonderful! It has a full equiped kitchen, big nice rooms with big closets and a nice living room to the ocean view, the pool area is nice too. I would suggest it to anyone who has a large family due to the number of rooms and sleeping areas and also if you love beautiful peaceful ocean views! This was a nice getaway!

Nightlife tip: Short drive from hotel

Renting a car was the best choice for me! For a 4-5 day car rental it cost me around $235.00 dollars but if you compare to taxi costs this was a good deal. Taxis will charge you between 10-20 dollars for each trip. In addition to renting a car, you will love driving in Cancun back and forth to the really awesome night clubs located a couple of blocks from the hotel! Trust me, you will want to do it all over again the very next night. It was so much fun!

Quiet good location

Because we are not into the mega resort "all inclusive" scene and enjoy being away from hoards of other tourists we enjoyed this location! Our condo was quite nice, ocean view, nice pool, small beach front. Within walking distance to the ferry to Isla Muereles, short drive to Starbucks and 10 minutes away from the Hotel/shopping zone. Tona the Innvitae Resorts representative was great, quite concerned about our comfort, offered advice for things to do, places to eat, and to get around. We would definately stay again!

You need to be VERY flexible to stay here!

We were in Cancun on business and very familiar with Mexico, so we were ok with the Amara, but if you a typical American thinking of staying here on vacation, think again. There is no "check-in" area, the rental manager comes to your unit to introduce herself. There is no "front desk" so when it is time to leave, there is no one to take the keys. We spent over a half an hour looking for someone to take the keys (the security guards would not take them) finally the Administration/Sales office opened at 9a. They reluctantly took the keys, but were not happy to do so since they were not the "rental office" Ants on the toilet seat, ants in the kitchen, bars of soap provided were from the last occupants, forget about shampoo/conditioner..all leading to a grocery stop and extra money to buy the essentials you find in even a 2 star hotel. The toilet paper so limited that that we measured out before we ran out! Beach is not swimmable. Pool is nice, but there is no service...no bar or restaurant, etc. The WiFi hardly ever connected (which we really needed) and when it did, the signal was so weak that we could not send e-mails. TV in the living room only, none in the bedroom.Car is mandatory here as there is nothing in the area except a 7-11 (thankfully we had a car) We are not picky and very adaptable, so we stayed. The typical tourist would have checked out after the first night!
