Dreams Cancun Resort and Spa All Inclusive

This was our first time at an all-inclusive but we do travel quite a bit. Being avid cruisers, we expected Dreams would have cruise-ship-like activities, food, and service. We were very disappointed. The activities didn't change much from day to day, the food was only average and we quickly became bored with the choices as the menus at the non-buffet restaurants (only three of them) were limited. Our Jr. Suite in the Preferred Club tower was huge, with a million-dollar view but but it was showing wear and had dated decor. The bed was hard and pillows lumpy. This did improve somewhat when the concierge sent up goose feather pillows. Speaking of Preferred Club....other than free Internet (that rarely worked) and a dedicated concierge, we didn't see any Preferred Club perks. Liquor, beer, and wine choices were the same as the rest of the resort (limited and pretty bad) and the bar service at the dedicated club pool was dreadfully slow. Tipping didn't improve the situation. Service through the whole resort was below what we expected. All too often our questions or requests were answered with an unapologetic "no". I have NO idea what types of hotels/resorts/vacations the other reviewers are used to visiting. Their praise of Dreams Cancun confounds me. I'll end the review with a caution about the Amerstar "hosts" that accost you in the lobby to be sure you claim your "resort credits". They're time share sales people...and are pretty persistent.

Everything was excellent. Very Clean everywhere. The property was in EXCELLENT SHAPE. Someone was always cleaning. Could not find anything that was not in excellent condition, and I looked. Very friendly staff, they always wanted to be sure you are well taken care of.

Hotel needs plumbing overhaul Our room had a pipe burst while my mother Was napping she woke up and slipped and fell brusing All over and hitting her head They gave her a two night stay in the future for releasing them of liability. Could have been better compensation. Hotel needs improvements. Staff is good food is good hotel very clean My mother is 80 yrs old. Didn't really enjoy her stay Francis Falbo

Dreams Cancun was a wonderful place. We were part of a group of around 40 people that were there for my sister's wedding. The resort is well positioned on a point with two beaches. It's located within easy walking distance of the "party district". That said, there's really no need to leave the resort if you choose not to. They have a great entertainment staff providing plenty of things to do for all ages. The bars and restaurants on the resorts are definitely some of the better we've encountered at all-inclusives. We particularly enjoyed the sushi at Himatsu. The wedding was beautiful, and the staff did an excellent job of making my sisters' day seamless. I would recommend Dreams Cancun to anyone traveling to the Cancun area.

The view was fantastic and the staff and service I received was outstanding. The rooms are a little outdated and could definitely use an update with better and more efficient storage space. Very badly needs additional drawer space in both the sleeping area and the bathroom. The bathtub is very old and is sagging in the middle where you stand. We lost hot water one day and had to take cold showers, with no explanation or apology.

Dreams Cancun is an incredibly fun, comfortable, well-maintained resort and you will not be disappointed if you spend your time at this resort. We have been there 5 consecutive years and plan to go back next year. We have become more than mere acquaintances with many of the staff - our relationship borders on friendship and they genuinely care about making sure you are well taken care of. Do yourself a favor - spend your vacation at Dreams Cancun.

We had a great time at Dreams Resort. The people were friendly and the beach was great. The excursion to Chichen Itza was great. Our tour guide was very knowledgeable. We will definitely go back.

Spent almost the entire trip sitting and relaxing on the beach. Waiters will bring drinks and food right to your chair. The water and sand are clean and picturesque.

The best beach in Mexico. What the room might lack in newness is made up for the great staff and beach. I've been back six times and will book my next trip soon. Perfect location to walk to the nightlife in Cancun.

Staff was always polite and professional, anxious to please. However, hotel was somewhat disappointing as far as location and quality of physical environment. Bathroom fan was loud and obnoxious, water on the floor when taking a shower; door to balcony banged noisely at night when the winds picked up; very little English programming on television, most which was reruns. Since hotel has no doors to the outside, loud birds outside my door woke me early in the morning. Food was good, wide variety and easily available. My "oceanview" really was a view of the roof with a small slit of ocean in the distance. Beach was very narrow and crowded.
