A romantic beach front resort nestled among seven swimming pools on a powdery white sand beach, in a community that boasts an 170-slip inland marina and a spectacular Greg Norman signature golf course right on the Caribbean. Situated just 20 minutes north of Cancun, Playa Mujeres is the latest luxury development destination in the region removed from but convenient to the activity of Cancun proper.

The architecture and decor of Excellence Playa Mujeres are contemporary and luxurious, both inside and out. Each spacious room and suite is extravagantly furnished with the latest amenities, including an extra-wide L-shaped sofa, 42" flat-screen TV, wireless Internet and a radio with Ipod connectivity. Fantastic girls getaway

This is a couples resort but we did not feel awkward or out of place despite being on a girls trip with 8 women. Everything was included so we didn't have to worry about food,drinks or entertainment. The fitness center is amazing with tons of equipment, both cardio and strength. They havea separate studio for yoga and classes also.

Couples retreat

The Hotel is absolutely beautiful. We enjoyed our stay very much. The room was comfortable, clean and well decorated. The grounds were outstanding. The breakfast buffet was very complete. Our attempt at constructive criticism is: (1) the dining staff quality was VERY varied from poorly attentive to well attended and pleasant depending on the restaurant. We wondered that since tipping isn't included if it lacked any motivation for the less experienced waiters to improve their skills; (2) the hot tubs were luke warm and a bit tiny. We went in January and while we were there we had some overcast days. It would have fabulous to have been able to spend some time in the hot tubs, but they were not warm enough to be comfortable; (3) The hotel decor is amazing with a lot of beautiful marble. However, this marble can be very noisy. On all three of the mornings we were awoken to loud carts being rolled outside our door before 7:00am. Nonetheless, this is an amazing hotel and we hope to go again. Knowing these fews issues will make our stay next time even better.

Excellent winter get away

This is the second time we have been back to this hotel. the location is excellent, easy to get to. The facilities are excellent. The service is superb and gracious. Food is very good and excellent choice of restaurants. the staff keeps asking if you want more food and drink. The staff walks up and down the beach constantly offering drinks and snacks. The beach and the hotel setting are beautiful...We have paid much munch more at other (famous non inclusive) resorts for much much less. Highly recommended

Great Place

Wait staff is unusually good for an all inclusive. Pools are fantastic, food better than expected. Location is remote, so if you want to see Cancun, this isn't the place. If you want to just relax at a nice resort, then you found it.

Wowser! What a trip!

This is me and my wife's 3rd Excellence Hotel Trip. We have now stayed at all 3 and seriously cannot find a better vacation. They are all excellent!!!
