GR Solaris Cancun Resort and Spa- All Inclusive

Staff was friendly, weather was beautiful, and food and drink was plentiful. However, we were continually asked to see a time share presentation from the place. The food was basically the same every day with some variation. If you can go to Marco Polo, you have more choices, but you must put in reservations by noon and you had to have formal clothes ( we only had sandles along). I was disappointed to find out that there was no free WiFi considering it was all-inclusive.

This resort exceeded our expectations. My fiancée and I wanted to get away from the winter blues to celebrate our birthdays and the deal we found for the stay was great. The room was fantastic that we stayed in. The entertainment staff that was by the pool made it more upbeat and got us involved in the day. We were lucky to have Salaya two days in a row for our server at the Rosmarinus. The food was great and he kept on top of getting our drinks and clearing our plates. We went to the Marco Polo restaurant at the resort and had Vermon as our waiter and made our experience fun. He made our meal special by giving us some fun drinks for our special occasions.

From the moment we walked in we were treated great! Cold cervesas waiting. Upgraded to sunset/hot tub room without even asking. Took free sunset cruise (FUN)!!! Will be going back here for sure.

the hotel was ok the people themselves were very nice ...the place was clean....beds were not comfortable....food was horrible....dont know how i gained weight cause i didnt eat...must be all the drinking i did....weather sucked....rained and cloudy half the time i was there....beach was gorgeous! over all i did not feel like a special guest by some of the staff if there was a problem.(the people at the front desk did not want to accomadate you) but the wait staff was over accomodating....so you decide i would consider this not a 4 star hotel more like a 2.5 or 3. Save your money longer and go for less time to stay at a 5 star hotel....it really is a difference......i dont know who rated this place but they must have drank too much Tequila

We have stayed here two years in a row. The staff remembers who we are and everyone from the enterainment staff to bartenders to waiters are very polite. We look forward to it every year.

In addition to having nice rooms and a fantastic beach, it seems that every single staff member is friendly and truly happy to help you in any way possible. Fast service at the bars and restaurants! My husband and I were extremely pleased with the variety and quality of the food offered. We also liked that there was a great mix of ages of the guests at this hotel. It was wonderful to make short-time friends with many people. If we return to Cancun, we would love to return to this hotel.

waitstaff was great. hotel is very clean. entertainment appropriate for families. Location close to downtown. Everything is close proxsimity. Very nice. Meals are would be 3#. reservation was in order. We received the type of room we ordered. No long lines, even for drinks.

My wife and I just got back from GR Solaris and we have to say what a great trip we had. We were there from 1/24-1/28 and stayed in a panoramic room with outstanding views. Very clean and comfortable. All the staff went out of their way to accommodate us. From the restaurant staff to the bar staff they were fantastic. Monica around the pool was outstanding with her service to my wife and I. Thank you Monica. Swim up bartenders were great as well. We will definitely be returning to GR Solaris again.

it was lovely -- not 'fancy' or 'posh' as some but PERFECT. Everything was genuinely included, no surprise extra costs -- the bars, shows, the fancier restaurant by reservations, all the buffets, off-hour deli, even the minibar in the room had free beers and sodas. It was just lovely. We're an older lesbian couple, there were families, all ages, all very comfortable.

We were very happy with all aspects of the resort. We prefer smaller resorts and this fit the bill completely. The rooms were very nice and well kept and the staff could not been nicer or more helpful. It was a very beautiful place and very relaxing which is what we were looking for. We really enjoyed the nightly shows. We would definitely stay there again.
