Great week
Very nice, safe hotel with friendly staff in a great location. Good pools, restaurant, beach, etc. Room was spacious and well maintained. No complaints.

Great hotel. Nice romantic area.
The hotel was great. I wasn't thrilled when they asked us to pay an additional $20 per night for a "view" room when that's what I had purchased with our package and had paperwork to prove such but was still asked to pay the upgrade fee. Other then that I cant say enough great things. The room was great, the view was amazing, the grounds and pools were kept clean and spotless. The variety of food was exceptional. The wait staff were attentive and kind. The access to the beach was the best part, couldn't be any better.

Pleasant enough stay, nothing outstanding
The hotel was fine - clean and attractive. We had a nice partial ocean view. I wasn't happy with how they handled the discounts on food etc.. It wasn't explained well when we accepted the 50% off order and then when we tried to add on to it, they weren't accommodating. Food was pretty good and waitstaff was always friendly. Used spa services - they were very good. I would probably have given this a 3.5 rather than 3, but couldn't give it a 4 due to some things lacking.

Great time!
My boyfriend and I both really enjoyed the overall experience of staying at this hotel. We agree that this hotel is better suited for couples, rather than families. We ate at The Grill, had breakfast at the buffet and ordered room service and everything was delicious! Everyone on staff was very polite. The room was comfortable. It had tile floors though, which is not something I've ever seen in the States. We also paid a visit to the spa for a couple's massage - I highly recommend this. Plus, the Hyatt is at the very end of the strip of hotels which makes it a little more private and quiet. Overall, I would definitely recommend this hotel to anyone planning a trip to Cancun.

Don't rent a car of take a taxi anywhere. Public transportation in Cancun is very efficient and reliable. You'll never have to wait more than 30 seconds (literally) for a bus.

Great place to travel to, hotel needs some improvement!
The front desk staff wasn't nice as we expected them to be. The 20% discount that we received on food and spa when booked, couldn't use it. The bed sheets had dry blood stains on them. The rooms need some upgrades. There is no complimentary coffee in the room. The location of the hotel is perfect. The major restaurants are within the walking distance. The water and the beach are just perfect.

Great Room and View, Awesome Beach
Loved it all, Room was a Regency Suite 934sf had 2 bathrooms. 2 Flat panel TV's. Also had Sat TV with ABC and NBC, CNN, Fox News etc. Food was good but expensive. Go out and eat much cheaper. Charge everything you get a better exchange rate! There was a bank machine Bank Mexico right outside the Hotel and an OXXO a 24 hr convince store right like 2 min away from the hotel. Only bad: Had lunch at the grill the server gave me the check and it was 395 pesos then he told me he made a mistake and put the wrong room in and brought me back a different check for over 1100.00 pesos. Basically lunch went from 39$ to 89$. I told him I wanted a copy of the original receipt and he didn't want to give it to me then I had to practically rip it from his hand and take the second copy. I took it to the desk because I thought it was bad business when they bring you the same exact check for same items then turn around and charge you 3 times more. They should have said we made a mistake and literally eaten it. Then I tried to fix it and I was told that I gave him the incorrect rm # and it was my fault so I didn't deserve a credit. I am sorry that it just bad business etiquette. I would go back! Michael M. New Haven, CT USA

Walk it's close to everything. If not take the bus it's 8 pesos each way. Always negotiate your cab fare before you get in the cab. There are no set fares or meters.
