Omni Cancun Hotel and Villas - All Inclusive

After only one trip to Cancun over 20 years ago, I used a travel search engine and their hotel reviews as a guide. Most reviews on the Omni were great so we picked it for a week trip in early February 2013. Food and staff were great (been to many all inclusives and the Omni was top notch). Signature restraunts were great, but so was the buffet for all meals throughout the eday. I'm sure the high dollar hotels may be a little better, but for the price, I doubt you can beat this hotel in this price range. Drinks and service were very good, some top shelf stuff and the 3 house wines were very good. Great beach, but they should have more shaded areas so everyone went down early (before 7:00) and put stuff on chairs. Otherwise, there were plenty of loungers. Had a great sit in the huge signature jacuzi which has a swim up bar. No place close to snorkel or scuba. The waves were huge, great fun, but not good for just swimming or little kids. Don't waste your money on taxies, the buses run every minute or two at the most and they fly down the road, you can get anywhere in about 15 min. max. If I return and want to stay in this price range, I would definately stay at the Omni again.

The Omni Cancun is very close to the airport and we were at our hotel within an hour of landing even though we took a group shuttle. The resort was about 80% full and was definitely full of families and an older crowd. The entire staff was extremely helpful, especially Yesenia, Eduardo and Beatriz. The pool water was definitely chilly, but not too cold where people couldn't swim. The food was acceptable, but nothing was special and the variety was limited. I would definitely recommend this hotel for families or couples looking for a quiet vacation at a very affordable price.

Very friendly staff and clean hotel made the five days go by way too fast!

My wife and I went for 8 days in Cancun and stayed at the Omni Hotel. This hotel is amazing. We are a bit picky when it comes to food and hotels and all I can say is that this place was the perfect choice for us. If you want a casual vacation and you don't want to worry about getting dressed up for lunch or dinner, this is the place to go! The food at La Paloma buffet was different every night and delicious, they have healthy options, a variety of juices and desserts. We both enjoyed the buffet, the breakfast is delicious also. We had dinner twice at Da Vinci, food is excellent too, but you need to dress up in order to dine at this place. Lunch at Pina Colada is delicious. Waiters are also great at Pina Colada, especially Consuelo and Eduardo! Miss the staff at Omni, everybody is nice and they are willing to go above and beyond for the guests. We spent most of the time on the beach at Pina Colada and the waiters there are serving drinks on the beach. Cant get better than that! They say on the website that tips are included in the all inclusive package but the staff at Omni deserve extra tips! Omni also has entertainment activities until 10 pm and after that, the entertainers take the guests clubbin'. We paid $50 to go to The City and the entertainers arranged our transportation to the club, reserved our tables and stayed next to us while in the club. You are responsible for your transportation back to the hotel but it is totally worth it! Can't wait to go back to Omni next year!

This was my tenth visit to the Omni. I truly consider it my home away from home. The staff goes well above and beyond to make your stay as memorable and pleasant as possible. Hotel is clean, safe, and has an amazing beach. The value is wonderful! Truly an amazing hotel. I cannot wait to go back!

From check in to check out, it was a wonderful experience. The employees went out of their way to make us feel welcomed and they treated us as if we were royalty. The room was awesome from the comfy bed to the awesome balcony that overlooked the grounds and the fabulous view of the ocean.

We had a fabulous time! We can't wait to come back and bring our kids!

We had a nice stay, and bought into the Vacation Club, but after thinking about it decided we could in no way take enough vacation to justify the cost. After reading the fine print, saw that we could void the contract in writing and in person within 24 hours, which we did on the following day. We have not been able to have our money refunded, and attempts by the credit card company to obtain some justice have gone unsuccessful after 3 months. Sounds to me like they are relying on their offshore status to make it incredibly difficult to have anyone rely on their contract.

Hotel was great! Very clean and well maintained. Staff was nice. Food was good. Could always find something to eat. Drinks were very good! Room was a little more humid than other hotels we've stayed at in cancun. Hotel was accommodating to couples, singles, and families. Beach was pretty and had plenty of chairs and umbrellas. Pools were also nice and big. We enjoyed our stay and would definitely recommend this hotel.

The Junior suite my wife and i booked was not what they say or show you. Upon arrival the ocean view was of a large palm tree and the bedroom view was of the building in front of us. We ended up having to pay $120 more a night to get near the beach and see the ocean. this is a lot of money to be sprung on you on a vaca. All in all the hotel is nice it is far down in the Hotel Zone so you cannot walk to anything it is a bus or a cab to gete there. after I got over the room situation we really enjoyed ourselves food was great beach was great.
