Sandos Cancun Luxury Resort - All Inclusive

Just got back from Sandos Cancun yesterday. Beautiful hotel right on the beach. Crystal clear warm water. Very friendly, polite staff. We spent most days at the beach. Also took a day trip to Chichen Itza. Great breakfast buffet but otherwise the food was only adequate. Not enough authentic mexican food - very Americanized restaurants. AC in the hotel room made things too cold so we left it off most of the time. So humid that bathing suits and towels hung up never fully dried.

We had a great trip! The staff was very friendly, very clean rooms, and the food was AMAZING!! Downsides were that there wasn't much to do at night after dinner other than sit in the indoor bar (the outdoor bar by the beach closes down at 6 pm.). Also, there is no swim up bar. Still highly recommend for a nice relaxing trip with great food and beautiful pools!! (although the hot tub was not hot).

This is truly a 5* boutique hotel in everything but the inconsistency of the staff. Some could not do enough for you. Others seemed inconvenienced by our presence. Food excellent, best we've experienced in an AI. Rooms and decor throughout really good. Very clean throughout. Very quiet hotel ideal for relaxing. Pools great and no shortage of towels or space around pool or beach. Overall would recommend but some staff letting the whole place down.

Everything - rooms, service, food, amenities are first class. Relatively small hotel (200 rooms) gives you better service, no problems with restaurants reservations, generally more relaxed atmosphere. The only downside is that a much bigger neighbor (Vines Cancun) shades the sun in the afternoon so the only way to catch some sun is laying on the beach. Despite this, I would come back to this place again.

The hotel was very very clean, beautiful design. Room was very spacious. The pool was very nice. The beach was amazing as well. Balcony was beautiful, make sure you get a balcony view if you go! Karaoke at night was a lot of fun! Nothing in our room got stolen. The hotel was great with reserving activities for swimming with the dolphins and snorkeling. Food for room service could have been better though. Wish they had a greater variety for non-alchoholic drinks.

Room was clean, Staffs are very kind, and Beach was PERFECT !!! However, the one thing can be improved was food in Kaijin. Actually, the other three restaurants were great (Zanga was the best one !). In general, almost everything was great. Strongly will recommend to my friends.

My wife and I just got back from the Sandos Cancun luxury resort spending 4 days/3 nights...we were BLOWN AWAY...loved every minute of being there! This was our first time to Cancun and 1st time doing the All-Inclusive resort. The hotel has a great beach with beautiful and clean water. The 3 hotel pools were superb. We especially loved the Poolside/Beachside restaurant with the higher end menu and full service bar. I am a Platinum level with Starwood/Westin and this was a big step out of our typical travel...but I was amazed and impressed! This was so much better than any Westin, Marriott, or Hyatt resort that we've ever stayed at for vacation! There were 3 live bands onsite when we were there: Latin American on Jan 1st evening in the bar/lounge, Reggae (from Jamaica) for lunch on Jan 2nd, and a Pop Rock Jan 3rd evening at the bar. All were excellent musicians! The full size gym with tons of Treadmills, Spin Bikes, and weights all made working out easy and fun. This was the LARGEST gym we've ever seen in a resort. The food quality was top notch, almost gourmet. We absolutely LOVED the breakfast buffet...tons of healthy choices and lots of authentic mexican food and many other choices. The staff was very friendly and helpful. Everyone seemed to enjoy working for Sandos and focused on making our experience all positive. Only complaint was dinner at the inside restaurant (same one where they serve breakfast buffet)...the service was slow and seemed overwhelmed with covering all the tables. It seemed like they were working out some kinks and learning how to run dinner. For our final night, we ate at the outside beachside/poolside restaurant instead and it was AWESOME and BEAUTIFUL. We'll definitely be back to this and other Sandos resorts. Thanks for making our 20th Wedding Anniversary the best trip ever! A Loyal Customer now in Atlanta Georgia

Good location. Eat very well. Need another "a la carte resrautant". Service is inconsistant .Bathroom very small compare to other modern hotel.Very clean hotel. At all good hotel but we won't go back.

We had a great time. The staff were very nice and always going out of their way to make sure you were happy. What's great about the hotel is that it is a nice Boutique hotel that has an intimate feel to it. It is not too large that you are overwhelmed or too small that you feel claustrophobic. The food was very good with 4 restaurants (GREAT Breakfast buffet) to choose from and lots of entertainment organized by the hotel staff. We went in December which meant on certain days the water was cool, but the heated swimming pools made up for it.
