Temptation Resort and Spa - All Inclusive Adults Only

The experience was good. The only thing that was horrible was we paid extra to have an ocean view and did not get it. In fact we had the worst room ever. The room backed to a major road and there was a bus stop. It was noise and no ocean view at all. When the moved us we still had no ocean view instead we had a view of the bathrooms for the boat dock so every time a boat docked tons of people lined up just steps away to use the bath room Not at all what we expected

The hotel was great. The staff very friendly and coulnd't have been better. The resort is 21 and older with the topless thing going on. All guests were friendly and great to get along with. Everyone is just looking to let loose, have some good drinks, and enjoy the great weather. This hotel was by far the best I've been to in Cancun and I've been to a few. Well worth the price. I will go back.

I have now been to Temptation twice. The first time, I went alone with the intention of letting go and loosening up. I thought I'd probably never go back simply because I can be a bit conservative and this place is not necessarily for those who want to keep their clothes on (more like see others with theirs on) all the time... however I ended up meeting so many amazing people that I found myself back there very soon after and reunited with some guests from around the world whom I'd met the first time. The staff remembered me and were extra attentive. They make an effort to know your name and use it. They make you feel like family, as do the guests if you are willing to throw your inhibitions to the wind and come out of your shell. As far as the surroundings, I think it's quite beautiful and very clean. The beach is lovely with plenty of inclusive activities for all different types. You can manage to avoid the sexy pool and nude activities if you wish to, and have a quieter day on the beach sailing or at the quiet pool. The food isn't gourmet, but it's quite good and there are plenty of options. I highly recommend that you book your meals at the reserved restaurants when possible for dinner. The ferry is a five minute walk from the hotel and you can take it over to the "Island of Women", for a day of renting golf carts, scooters or bikes. Be sure to check out the beautiful cliffs if you go there. There is plenty to do at night so that you don't feel the need to leave the hotel, but if you want to check out the nightlife on the hotel strip you can take the buses, which run 24 hours, and the hotel staff organizes group transports as well. I was pleasantly surprised by the liquor selection, since I'd expected all low end at an all inclusive and it was not the case (some bars carry more brands than others, so find the one to go to for your drink of choice.) If you can't stand drinking from small plastic cups that have been washed and reused by many, you can carry your own that they will fill... but let's face it, not the end of the world after a few tequilas or cervezas! The guests I spoke to who have been repeat customers for years described it perfectly to me; at a smaller resort like this one where people can feel free to be themselves, it's easy to make family fast. You leave there feeling like the people you've met are more than new friends, and that is my favorite part of traveling. With all of that said and as much as I love it, I would likely avoid if I was in a relationship, but know yourself and your limits and if you want a great time, then I highly recommend you have it here :) Do yourself a favor no matter where you stay though, and get out for a day or two to the island or the various ruins! Koba is wonderful and I've heard the same of Tulum. There are travel groups at the hotel you can sign up with, or along the hotel strip too. Also, the mall is lovely if you're interested in shopping beyond local markets. ENJOY!!!

It's our 2nd time back there and loved it even more the 2nd time! I had to go back to mexico 3 months later in April because of my daughter's wedding but stayed @ Barcelo Costa Cancun because Temptations was sold out. I went back to visit the staff @ Temptations with my friends to show them how great of time it was there. All the staff remembered me and it was pure torture going just to visit and not partying there. No screaming babies and kids or drunk teenagers! We save money everytime we go to Temptations. The restaurants are the best and there is so much Nightly entertainment that there is no reason to leave the Hotel! I highly recommend this hotel to people that want to have alot of fun, aren't prudes and love loud non-relaxing music!

Check in was simple. They do try and schedule you for a breakfast and a tour of the hotel. I scheduled and then just unplugged the phone and didn't show up. The atmosphere was wonderful. People were very friendly, restaurants were excellent, bars were nice. Lots of things to do at the resort. This place is like a spring break for adults. If you are into partying and meeting new people this is your place.

This is my 4th time here and it is always a great stay. The food is out of this world. The entertainment staff keeps you laughing and enter-acting with others. the night club is happining every night. And the drinks are plentiful and not watered down.

Talk about a waste of money and time! Everyday we were there we were scamed in one way or another. Do NOT book any day trips that are offered for starters. It was all a SCAM!! We were not all pleased with staff. I don't count the cast as staff as they were the only ones who seemed to care when there was a problem. We were not the only ones who had problem after problem EVERYONE we talked to while staying there had problems. Really, we weren't allowed to sit in the sun on the beach!! Cheap food and drinks for members. If you want to be stupid and upgrade to get anything then there ya go. Unless you tip the greedy staff you will be waiting to get a cheap drink if you get served at all. We tipped $5.00 one day and they expected it everytime and we would have to walk to a different pool bar to get a drink!! Really? Best advice is NOT book a stay here. There are plenty of better resorts for better rates and much better service.
