Temptation Resort and Spa - All Inclusive Adults Only

Very friendly staff, an excellent food. Two restaurants need a simple reservation, you can do it by signing in from 10 to 12 am. Other three restaurants are open type. The food is available 24 hours. Three pools and beach are more than enough for swimming.

Didn't realize when I booked this trip for me and my three sons, what type of resort this was. Did not read any reviews before hand. But being open minded and non-judgmental, all of us had a great time. I spent most of my time at the quiet pool. Very relaxing. The food at every restaurant was above and beyond of what I expected!!

This place was so awesome. The staff is extremely friendly and very kind. The room was very clean and `interesting`. We did not want to leave this place. I would highly recommend it. I also liked that there were not a lot of college age folks there. It was mainly couples and some small families.

The hotel was average.I was expecting 4 star resort but i would only give it 3 star.Food was amazing and decor and ambience was fine but the hotel bathoom was very small.Hardly enough space to take a bath forget about changing in there.My home bathroom is better than that and you always want your hotel rooms to be better.Overall it was ok other than that.

You would think that most people wouldn't embrace the tops optional choice at Temptations, but lets just say that there were plenty of things to see on your trip to Cancun. Also, most of those things were good. As for the rooms, they stunk of mold and you could see the mold around the AC vents. The mattress is super firm. Too firm for my tastes and I love a firm mattress. The pillows were really hard and thick. This gave me a sore neck in the morning. I later found that they have two spare pillows in the closet and I used those my last couple of days and they were much softer. In your fridge you get one large bottle of water, two beers, three sodas, and a V8 every morning. If you don't drink your beers or water, you can stash them in your luggage and they will bring you another one in the morning. If you don't stash it, you won't get extra. The booze from the resort was pretty terrible. The beer on tap tasted watered down. All of the hard alcohol tasted below well quality and was mixed with terrible chasers. For instance we ordered vodka cranberries and got disgusting vodka with what tasted like super concentrated kool aid. I was going number two the same color of the chaser the entire next day. It was scary. Your best bet at getting drunk is to hoard canned beers and shotgun them before going out. The Paty-O lounge was our favorite spot. Most nights they had a live DJ which was awesome for dancing. Unfortunately you probably won't be drinking everyday. So, those one or two sober nights when you are trying to sleep, you will hate the DJ. When you are drunk though, it doesn't matter. The pools were awesome. There was one exception when one day a couple was literally having sx in the Sxy Pool. Kinda cool, but at the same time, you have to think about what is actually floating around the pool while you are in it. We left shortly after that. The staff were all pretty awesome and helpful. Just stay away from the "concierge." They aren't there to help you but rather to get you to buy stuff like tours and raffles. Stay away from them. Also, an Orbitz rep called me the first morning to plan my tours. This is a tourist trap. Don't go see them. You will just waste your time. They do the same thing as the concierge. The food was always amazing, which really surprised me considering it is all you can eat. My favorite spot is the steak place. It is the restaurant with no windows. We used to go in there with wet shorts and just dry off in there after a swim. Just watch out for the bird droppings on the seats before you sit down. Almost made that mistake once. Overall I gave Temptations 3 stars. It's pretty cool for the price, but if I ever go back to Cancun, I would pay a little more to have more comfort. Oh yeah and don't got to Coco Bongo if you are looking to dance. It is so crowded that you can't move and it is more of a show than anything.

I'm a veteran of at least 6 all-inclusives. Usually I plan a few off-site excursions, but this resort encourages one to stay on-site and enjoy the company of other travelers. There's an element of transparency, openness, liberalism, and genuine sociability about the people who visit this resort (at least during the week I spent). Although the open-bar helps, people are very approachable, and seem to be interested in meeting new people. The experience on the resort is what you make of it, and create through meeting new people, participating in activities, etc. So if you're looking for a resort that encourages meeting new people, building relationships, and partying, this may be the resort for you. Some Quick Notes: The restaurants were above avg., compared to other all-inclusives I have visited. I definitely ate better (quality) than I normally do at home. The Asian and Italian restaurants were my two favorites. The beach is adequate, but in reality is the one downfall of the resort. A lot of seaweed once you tread out 10 yards or so. The overall appearance of the hotel has a modern look. The indoor club was a bit lackluster, as it was either closed or dead with 4 people. However, at night the main party is usually at Patty O's (bar/club/lounge), centrally located in the resort. The hip outdoor look of Patty O's is a nice touch. Overall, I enjoyed the outgoing and liberal atmosphere; people don't seem to judge, and as a result, you may see some things that you don't normally see at home. (;

I traveled with 2 people (3 people in total) and booked a 3 bedroom. My confirmation said the room had a king bed and 2 queeen beds. However we got only 2 queen beds, and claimed we got the confirmation with 1 king bed and 2 queen bed. But the hotel told us they did not have any 3 bed rooms. We arrived at the hotel at 2:30pm and the hotel said we could check-in at 3:00pm. We actually got our room key at 4:00pm. These 2 issue made us disappointed very much.

It was a great experience. More than expected. Fun, entertaining, relaxing, wonderful view and location. Staff was amazing, extremely friendly and happy.

This is a nice place for the price. Food is above average, not excellent. Location is beyond the main Cancun Hotel Zone so there isn't much happening right outside the resort. Service is outstanding. Dinner buffets could be improved but the specialty restaurants are fine. Yes they have adult themed games, but if you aren't a prude, you will enjoy them. Beach is fine to lay out and get your body wet. If you want to spend all of your time in the water riding waves, then I suggest looking elsewhere. For the price we paid, I can't complain.
