Villa Rolandi Thalasso Spa Gourmet and Beach Club - Adults Oriented

My husband and I had a great time at Villa Rolandi. The staff was extremely friendly and helpful, the room was spacious and beautiful, the location was great, and having breakfast and the minibar drinks included was a real boon!! We would go back in a minute!!!!!

Room was as good as it looked in photos! Loved dinning room surrounded by water! Swimming was fabulous!

We left paradise only 36 hours ago. Rolandi did not disappoint when it comes to recharging all batteries, including the gastronomic. Great quiet, great accommodations, great food and all of the staff is practically perfect in every way. Our last day included torrential rains, which started to seep under our door. The staff were in the hall frequently, tending to any water in the hall and placing towels outside doors. Any time we placed a call: to the front desk or room service or a new pillow request, there was a knock at the door quickly. We were always treated with great respect. The food was never disappointing and the portions are extremely generous. Breakfast was as delicious as Dinner.

Villa Rolandi is off the beaten path; relaxing, reading and sunning on a small, private beach, and watching sunsets in the large hot tub were wonderful. Better if the hot tub was freshwater. In addition, a large freshwater heated pool where we enjoyed drinks and ceviche delivered from the wait staff. Cocoon 2 took us for an afternoon of shopping and lunch at Fred's Seafood FOC because they were picking up arriving hotel guests; we traveled via taxi from embarcadero. Overall the food was great: breakfast included (but got egged out after 9 days); room service charge for all other meals; and patience is a must, as it takes a while. Our room had a lovely balcony that we enjoyed playing cards on (be sure to bring some) and hot tubbing. We did notice a daily room cleaning fee on our final bill; it was never mentioned. Also there is a small fridge in each room that is replenished each day with some sodas and beers FOC.

We stayed for a week. I was recovering from an injury and had to use a cane to get around, the resort was perfect for me. We had upgraded to a 1st floor master suite. Ricardo met us as we disembarked from the resort's yacht, "Cocoon". We were greeted w/cool washcloths and a refreshing drink. He took us to our room and acclimated us w/all the room's special qualities: steam shower, big TV, safe, private hot tub, and wonderful view across the bay to the Cancun skyline. Breakfast was on a covered deck over the ocean. We ate a varied meal while watching pelicans catch theirs. The wait staff, maids and especially the front desk people were excellent. If we had any complaints, the resort was a bit remote, which on one hand was romantic , but we could not walk into town for shopping and other restaurants, but had to take a cab...78 pesos each way. I would HIGHLY recommend this resort!!!

Everyone was extremely friendly, by the second day the staff knew our names and were always happy to help us with anything we needed. I would go back anytime, the restaurant was exquisite and if you want to have a beer for 10 pesos and have a blast please go to Soggy Peso I guarantee you a great time.

Wonderful staff and great food.

The hotel is small, (only 35 rooms) which we loved. The service at the front desk (they know your name/room number and say hola!), cozy bar and beachside/oceanside are amazing. The jacuzzi on the balcony of every room is awesome. Loved it there. I'm not a person to want to go back to the same place twice, and I would totally do that here! Great destination for a couple to relax and get away. Small enough if you forgot something in your room, it took just a few minutes to grab it and be back on the beach in no time! Loved the fact there is a little pool on the beach, so you could rinse off the salt watter and go back and forth easily. Lots of chairs, umbrellas, towels and 3 pools. The downtown is charming and some great restaurants. The restaurant at the hotel is great too-but a bit pricey. But at the pool/ocean you can get affordable snacks andd drinks. You can take a cab to downtown for $5-8 dollars each way. Great place to reconnect with your loved ones. Not for large families/children. We did a whale shark dive, swam with dolphins (right next door) rented a golf cart for the day, saw the Mayan ruins and all around the 5 mile long island. Read on the beach alot-very tranquil and gorgeous. Its great to relax on the beach with a drink and see the hustle and bustle of Cancun miles away. So glad we picked this resort, we'll be back.

Villa Rolandi far exceeded the standard of high quality customer service. If you want a relaxing, pampering, consistently great vacation experience this is the place for you.

THis was one of the best Hotel experiences one can imagine. Everyone was so sensative to our needs and the Hotel was unbelievable. I would recommend this hotel to any couple that wants to have a unbelievable private romantic experience.
