Villa Rolandi Thalasso Spa Gourmet and Beach Club - Adults Oriented

A truly relaxing week. We avoided the noise and crowds of "spring break" in Cancun. Will return!

Quiet and yet friendly. Relaxing but still interesting. Wonderful five days to catch up with my daughter without interruption. Could not have chosen a better getaway.

A relaxing and pampering get-away. If you want to lay by the beach or pool and relax, this is the place. Excellent service, excellent food, rooms are top notch and staff bends over backwards to make you feel pampered and relaxed. Not a lot to do in town, but who needs to leave the resort?!?! Just go relax and be waited on by the pool or at the beach!!!

Stayed just one night at the end of a longer vacation, and wish we had more! 3-4 nights would have been perfect. This is an elegant (for Mexico, especially in the Cancun region) experience, and they have great service, friendly staff, superb food and aaaaah, the beach and surf to enjoy. Small beach, no snorkeling or beachwalking right at the property.

First, a transport service arranged by the hotel met us at the airport and took us to Playa Linda dock. The hotel's private catamaran, Cocoon, then met us at the dock and took us across the bay to Villa Rolandi. Hotel staff arranged trips to Tulum, Xela-Ha, and Isla Contoy during our week's stay. Our room looked out past swaying palms to a private beach and a turquoise sea. We had romantic candlelight dinners each night at Villa Rolandi's excellent restaurant, toured the Mayan temple of Ixchel on the south end of Isla Mujeres, snorkeled near Punta Sur, and walked along Playa Norte's beautiful beach. From a world traveler, this was my best vacation ever!

My husband and I have vacationed in numerous spots around the world. Our stay at Villa Rolandi is without question the best yet. I knew we'd arrive at Cancun airport late in the day, so I asked Delia at Villa Rolandi to make arrangements to transport us from the airport to the hotel and she did. Augustin met us at the airport and drove us through Cancun with all its glitz and glamor to the dock where the yacht "Cocoon" was waiting. It's named "Cocoon" for good reason. The starlit trip to Isla Mujeres and arrival at the hotel's dock transformed a couple of weary anxious travelers into relaxed civilized people, confident that Villa Rolandi was just what we hoped it would be. Checkin was smooth and our first dinner was delightful. Arriving at the Villa Rolandi dock with stars sparkling over the Carribean is something every traveler should experience it was magical. We enjoyed the congenial casual atmosphere.The setting is conducive to conversation with other hotel guests if your feeling sociable. The grounds are maintained to perfection. I especially enjoyed the facials at the spa. They really made me look and feel younger. The entire hotel staff is knowlegdeable and committed to making certain that you enjoy your stay. The dining was first rate and the service was thoughtful and attentive. Breakfast discreetly placed in the pass through was a real treat for me. All in all, Villa Rolandi met and exceeded our expetations.

Very quiet hotel. Excellent view from our 3rd floor room. The service was incredible! If you are looking for a little more action this hotel is not for you. but if you want peace and quiet than I would highly recommend this hotel. The Gym is pretty pathetic but it is perfectly safe to just go for a run outside.

My wife and I went to celebrate our wedding anniversary and we wanted to simply relax and enjoy. Villa Rolandi is perfect for that. The hotel is very quiet and far away from the shops and tourist traps in the rest of the island. We opted for the meal plan and the food was excellent - it far exceeded our expectations and we consider ourselves very picky about restaurants. The staff was extremely friendly and accomodating and the service outstanding. Although the beach area is small there are three separate pools so we had no problems getting a chair by the pool or beach. All in all, a great vacation. We would certainly return to this hotel.

Our first time in Isla and it lived up to it's reputation. Delia at Villa Rolandi made it carefree and we felt pampered and most welcome. If you stay at Rolandi ask for an upper floor if you want a better view. The restaurant staff started out very extremely attentive but by our last evening they almost ignored us even though we had tipped all of the staff very well the entire visit. We were disappointed the the hotel did not offer a mexican cuisine. Villa Rolandi is great if you want to be in the middle of Island and away from the party atmosphere of downtown yet able to access easily by golfcart. Downtown reminded us of the Spanish version of the French Quarter and was wonderful. Most impressive was the other end of the island with the Mayan Ruin and overall the beautiful colors of the water. We will for sure return.

This was our second stay at Villa Rolandi. It is perfect for more mature adults, who are not looking for the busy atmosphere in Cancun. It is a quiet, restful hotel with excellent service and a gourmet restaurant that competes with any 5 star New York restaurant.
