Villa Rolandi Thalasso Spa Gourmet and Beach Club - Adults Oriented

This hotel is absolutely gorgeous and romantic. The rooms are truly designed for honeymoon couples or simply couples looking to rekindle that spark! The spa is fantastic and the spa staff is talented. The Casa Rolandi restaurant there delivers incredible food with great selection all week long. There was no need to go anywhere else. The beach is small but it is clean, the water beautiful, and the beach service excellent. Do take a day to rent a golf cart and see the rest of the island. A day is really all you need. The entire staff is very friendly and helpful. The only thing we didn't like we having to leave and rejoin the real world again.

From the moment we arrived we knew we picked the right Hotel. The amenities were perfect. The people were friendly. The location was beautiful. The dinners were 5 star. You could not ask for more!

Villa Rolandi had very comfortable rooms with a jacuzzi in the terrace where you could see the sunset. They could deliver a continental breakfast in your room that you found right on time in a special box which meant that they would not bother you with waiters in your room in the morning. It had one of the most romantic restaurants to dinne in, right on top of the ocean with excellent food. When we wanted to see the rest of the island and snorkle in a special place they provided us with a minimal rent a golf cart that was convenient for the small island.

Extremely private resort and serene location. If you truly want to de-stress, relax, and reconnect this is the place to come. In as little as 12-hrs you will feel a difference. Hotel is NOT for children. The views from the beach, endless pool, private balcony, personal jacuzzi, and your room are spectacular. Staff is very considerate of your privacy.

It is a magnificent, quiet, intimate place. Rooms are very attractive with a magnificent sea view. Swimming pools are great. The beach is a small very pleasant creek. The restaurant is opened on the sea and the cooking is incredible so good!!. Bravo!!!! All the staff is charming and professional. One 10 on 10!!! Go there blindly.

After a hectic day of travel (missed original flight, flight from Dallas to Cancun was delayed because of a mechanical problem), getting to Villa Rolandi was like coming to paradise. The hotel yacht picked me up in Cancun and I watched as the bright lights of that city fade away and the tranquil beauty of Isla Mujeres come into sight. I was greeted at the dock and guided up to the reception area while behind me my baggage was disembarked, loaded and brought up. I was offered a drink and a moment to look around at the tastefuly decorated lobby. Moments later I was in my room where a cold dinner and white wine were waiting for me (because of the delays, I arrived after their kitchen had closed but when I had called them earlier to let them know the sitch, they had offered to leave some appetizers in my room). The jacuzzi on my balcony (every room has one) had been freshly prepared. As soon as the bellboy had left, I pulled out my bikini from my suitcase, brought the food out to the balcony and sank into the jacuzzi. From the balcony, I could see Cancun in the distance. And that was only the first hour I was there. Everyone who works at the hotel is very nice. If you attempt some Spanish, they are even nicer to you. My first day the front desk arranged a private yoga lesson and a massage for that afternoon. The private beach was private. There weren't a lot of people at the hotel (off-season) so I got to carve out a large bit of it for myself. Unlike the beaches at Cabo, there were no vendors hawking their wares every five minutes. The food was pretty good -- just be careful of the fruit. Some of it didn't agree with my stomach. Breakfast was delivered every morning through a little cubby in the dressing room so as to not disturb me. The bed was comfy. I enjoyed the turn down service every night that included another complimentary bottle of water. Free wifi was cool so I could upload pictures of the island onto Facebook. The staff did every thing possible to accommodate me. When I asked for yogurt and granola for dessert to be brought up to my room, it was there within ten minutes. Would I do it over again? Absolutely. Would I go back? If I can ...

Located in the middle of the island, this hotel is a very beautiful island in itself. Due to the small size, it is a quiet and relaxing place, and you can feel privacy. It is definitively the most romantic hideaway that we have seen. The hotel picks you up at the harbor in Cancun with their boat. We missed this opportunity but even taking the public ferry and a taxi to the hotel is fun and comfortable. We enjoyed the room including the shower, steam bath, and hot tub and we spent a relaxing time at the pool and at the private beach – sometimes just by ourselves. The service is wonderful. Everybody was very nice and friendly. The restaurant offers the best food and everything we tested was just delicious. The servers are present but stay in the background. If you want to involve them into some conversations, some were very open to talk about their experiences of growing up at the island. We walked to the South Point with the sculpture garden and the ruins of a Mayan temple. The view is spectacular. We spent one afternoon in Playa Norte, the busy downtown, and were happy to go back to our "island in the island". The only negative aspect was the fact that some construction work was going on beside the hotel but the noise was very limited and did not disturb much.

This was our second stay at Villa Rolandi. It is perfect for more mature adults, who are not looking for the busy atmosphere in Cancun. It is a quiet, restful hotel with excellent service and a gourmet restaurant that competes with any 5 star New York restaurant.

My wife and I went to celebrate our wedding anniversary and we wanted to simply relax and enjoy. Villa Rolandi is perfect for that. The hotel is very quiet and far away from the shops and tourist traps in the rest of the island. We opted for the meal plan and the food was excellent - it far exceeded our expectations and we consider ourselves very picky about restaurants. The staff was extremely friendly and accomodating and the service outstanding. Although the beach area is small there are three separate pools so we had no problems getting a chair by the pool or beach. All in all, a great vacation. We would certainly return to this hotel.

First, a transport service arranged by the hotel met us at the airport and took us to Playa Linda dock. The hotel's private catamaran, Cocoon, then met us at the dock and took us across the bay to Villa Rolandi. Hotel staff arranged trips to Tulum, Xela-Ha, and Isla Contoy during our week's stay. Our room looked out past swaying palms to a private beach and a turquoise sea. We had romantic candlelight dinners each night at Villa Rolandi's excellent restaurant, toured the Mayan temple of Ixchel on the south end of Isla Mujeres, snorkeled near Punta Sur, and walked along Playa Norte's beautiful beach. From a world traveler, this was my best vacation ever!
