Excellent

The hotel overall was excellent. It is a massive place - with enormous pools. The restaurants & bars were very good. Overall the whole place was gorgeous & you couldn't ask for more. We had one major complaint however - my son had his own room. That room had a leak in the ceiling over the bathtub that splashed out into the bathroom floor. We called the desk twice about it. Supposedly that sent someone to look at it- but it was never fixed & they didn't offer to move him or anything. It was quite an annoyance.

You can walk just outside the gate & catch a bus for about $1.00 each - or you can take a taxi from the hotel for $12.00 for 3 people.

Cabo weekend getaway

I was totally impressed. The staff was friendly, the grounds and pools are beautiful, the food is good, it's only a $10 cab ride from downtown cabo. I would absolutely stay here again. Great value and just a really nice place to go to enjoy a vacation.

First Cabo Visit

This was my first time visiting Cabo and it was the best time ever!! We went May 3-7th and should have stayed longer. The resort was great and the staff were so friendly. It was hard to get reservations for the 4 restaurants but we didn't mind because we loved the buffet. Everything was always clean and there was always an employee cleaning if needed. My only complaint would be that the beds are a little hard but we were so tired that it didn't even really matter. I will definitely come back here to stay!!!

Overall good value

Good for the $. If I went back I would book somewhere else. Didn't have a bad experience I have just had better. To get drinks at the pool there is no wait staff. You have to physically walk to the bar every time. There is no room service.....really? Food was good. Location was good. Overall we really enjoyed it, only thing lacking was superb service.

Awesome Homeymoon!

From the moment we walked in till the time we left, everyone was extremely nice and nice! It was my first time in Cabo or out of the country and i felt extremely safe with Grey Line Services picking us up and dropping us off. But the Riu Sante Fe was just great, from the people, the food and the drinks! Keep in mind it was all inclusive so as hard as it is to cook buffet style food for everyone at the resort but it defintely was good stuff. There is alot of walking espicaaly if you are in Building 7 but thats where the best pool is, the best views of the ocean were! My one and only complaint was they didnt have any channels in English but 4 and me and my wife werent into the whole shopping and drinking like we were 21 so when we got to the room it would have been nice to choose from some TV or to order some movies but its ok. I would defintely go there again and im looking forward to it being that ive already gone! The grounds on the resort was clean as could be, the beach was awesome beaides the people that were trying to sell u stuff but once u told them No they would stop. I gave this hotel 4 stars and the only thing is holding me back from that 5th star is that TV situation but overall great time, great place, awesome people! I wished i coulda stayed longer and i cant wait to go back! Thankyou Riu Sante Fe!

Birthday present

This was our first time at an all inclusive resort. We wanted to compare this to our experiences on cruise ships. Overall we liked it very much. The Riu Santa Fe was a really beautiful place sitting right next to the ocean, our room had a partial view of the ocean with two amazing plam trees right out side of our balcony it was really lovely. The rooms were great and very clean the staff extremely friendly and all ways helpful when needed. The hotel was maybe 15 mins from Downtown Cabo via the bus or a taxi. We liked being able to come and go as we pleased via being on a ship. So overall we were very pleased and will probably end up going back again. Unfortunately my only complaint would be about the shower and bathtub ours was very high not your average step in, into a bath tub which was very awkward to get in, and they had no mats or anything in the shower to help with slipping. I found myself having to really make sure I held onto the safety rail stepping into the bath tub and making sure I really lifted my leg to clear the hight of the tub. So not a bad remark just a little safety warning if you have any handicaps or lifting and bending your knees.

Shopping tip: Long walk from hotel

Make sure you get plenty of pesos before you get to the hotel because the hotel does not do exchanges for american money. They can give you change for pesos though. We took about $100 in pesos and that was just enough to get by. Had we shopped more on the economy or taken any more buses or taxis than we had we may have run out, but it got us through our five days there.
