Great Weekend Getaway

The hotel was awesome. It was in a great location for restaurants, shopping, entertainment, bars, money exchange and etc. The bed and pillows where so comfortable. You will have a hard time getting up in the morning. The employees where super friendly. I highly recommend to upgrade to the Brisass Club. The rooms are a little bigger, free happy hour from 6-8 (only white and red wine), free internet, free continental breakfast, and free local calls. It doesn’t get any better than that.

My Stay

If you make the reservation the same day, they won't have your reservation in the system. Don't eat breakfast there, they charged 205 pesos for a average buffet breakfast, the next day I saw a diner around the corner. Or go to Starbucks and get a croissant.

Nice hotel but expensive basic amenities

This is a really nice hotel in the middle of Zona Rosa with everything La Zona has to offer. It can be also often booked for a very good price for its hotel category. However, it will very soon lose its view of the Angel due to new construction. These are the reasons I only give it 3 stars: 1. In the winter the heating does not work. The temperature you will get in the room is about 66-68 degrees F (19-20C). 2. Even basic services are rather expensive. A 24hr internet access costs 200 pesos, water bottle in the room is 45 pesos. 3. There is a tourist taxi stand at the front door. These taxis are super expensive, about 4-5x what the street taxis cost. That may be ok, and it is your choice, but you will get asked whether you need a taxi every time you go in or out of the hotel. It gets annoying after a while. 4. Bed mattress is aging, and the TV needed about 10 minutes to warm up before it was watchable.

Money-saving tip: Short walk from hotel

The new green buses now run up and down Reforma which is a short walk, and some go to Zócalo, that say so on the front sign. They are a lot less intimidating than the old peseros and very easy to use.

Great Location!

My friend and I were so glad to have stayed here. It was so nice and the decor was luxurious. Everything was very nice. Super quiet and very clean. The location to many gay bars, dining, and metro made me happy. A single traveler would be happy here. The only bad thing that happened during the trip was the maid stole water and a red bull from the bar. We didnt even know there was one! They did not charge us so it was not a problem.

Exceeded expectations

This hotel was great for our leisure purposes. The rooms were clean and modern, the water was safe for drinking, and the location was spectacular. You could easily get to Plaza de Reforma, which is one of the main drags of Mexico City. Additionally, we got great advice from the evening concierge, [...]. He hooked us up with a tour, gave advice on casual and nice restaurants, and greeted us nicely each time we entered or left the hotel. I woudl definitely stay there again.
