The property features 142 rooms, which are tastefully decorated and offer air conditioning, mini-bar, coffeemaker, internet access, satellite TV, direct dial telephone, iron and board and safe deposit box. Pleasant and quiet
This is an old hotel with small elevators and modest hallways but the rooms are spacious, comfortable and up to date. The value for the price is excellent. The hotel would get best scores from me if the bathrooms were nicer, though they are prefectly functional. I have stayed there twice and I would definitely return. I also like the location which feels safe at night and is close to the restaurants.

Great Location and Great Price
The decor of the hotel lobby was really nice and clean. Friendly staff. Great Location. Ogirinally had issues with the WIFI but one staff member knew exactly how to fix it and was on the net right away. Only two negative comments is in room coffee is not complimentary and there are only 2 elevators and are very small. Water pressure is great and beds were very comfortable and room was very clean. Also note, the hotel is centrally located within a couple Gar clubs/bars.

Nice Hotel in Great Location
Price is great, rooms are clean and average size, staff are nice and friendly, I like the door man there to open the door for you. Had issues with the internet but one of the staff members knew exactly how to fix it and I was up and running in no time. If you are a couch potato and like to watch TV be prepared for disappointment because the channel selection is minimal and many channels are fuzzy and don't come in clear although, the TV is nicely updated and a flat screeen. Don't expect complimentary coffee because they will charge you for the coffee in the room (it's priced so there's no surprises). There's no ice machines or buckets so if you need ice you have to call room service to deliver you a GLASS of ice! Yes, elevators are very small but it's an old building. It's good for a couple nights (for me) but for a week, I don't think I could handle the limited amenities.

Lots of dining places with a diverse selection to choose from (Chinese, Italian). Hotel is on a gay community street. there are a few gay clubs along the same street.

Single Woman Trip
I stayed at this hotel for a week. The staff was SO friendly and helpful. Many of the staff spoke English which was a bonus for me because my Spanish is pretty bad. You can book (inexpensive) tours through the hotel. The breakfast at the hotel wasn't the best. The location was pretty good, close to nightclubs if you're into that. LGBT community is close by if you're into that as well.

Good location, room, value...HOPELESS STAFF
The hotel was just as expected...clean, serviceable room, in a great location. Much better than would be expected at this price. The hugh drawback is the staff. Nice as could be....and completely clueless. Gave us the wrong directions...every time we asked. Could not figure out how to use the phone book to look up a number (!?!). Had never heard of any museum we asked about. Did not know where the nearest pharmacy was ( at the end of the block). AND we speak fluent Spanish....yikes. If you stay here, you are on your own.

Very convenient
The staff at this hotel were very helpfull and friendly. It is conveniently located to all shops, embassies, and the Museum of Anthropoly I had a very good experience , the restaurant was very clean and the prices were excellent. They chef prepared vegetarian meals specially for me, as they did not had a vegtarian menu.

One more thing....
I wrote a review on this hotel as soon as I got home from this trip only to discover there were bed bug bites up and down the backs of my arms. I contacted the friend I traveled with and she found bed bug bites on various parts of her body. I have noticed there are many positive reviews on this site. Like I mentioned before, location is great and MOST of the staff is friendly and accommodating but it doesn't make up for the filthy sheets, bed bugs and getting ripped off by the "taxi" service they choose for us. I DO NOT RECOMMEND THIS HOTEL.

Viva Mexico
I had been in Plaza Florencia Hotel twice, in April and September and it was awesome... Mexico is a really nice place and the people was super nice and friendly, This is a good choice if you are looking for comfort and great value.
