Great location for the Playa night
Great location for the Playa night life. Club row is only 1 block away. Cheap breakfast at sister property 4 blocks away. Free coffee, water, and internet are all a big deal in mexico. Friendly staff. Only drawback is some road noise on fri/sat night, low pressure showers, and lack of pool on property. Would stay again at good price.

Great !
This small, cosy, neat hotel was a delightful experience that I never imagine to have for such a bargain price. Location is superb, waking distance to everything you are waiting to visit and experience in Playa del Carmen. Rooms are comfortable, and so neat that makes you feel free of germs. Their small coffee and Internet free open area is very convenient, some people were having their own breakfast or lunch here as they have a microwave oven. The best surprise was to experience that all personal is well trained, courteous and goes beyond their duties, they make sure you feel they can help you at all times. For the price, location and service I feel this was one of my best hotel choices ever.

Great time
TThe trip was only for rest and to relax. The hotel was in a very good location and you had to take the breakfast at another hotel but the breakfast was very good at this other hotel which is 6 blocks away. The beach was 3 blocks away but I could have also used this sister hotel fora swimming pool. This hotel lacked nothing and was better than I expected. The hotel was clean and the staff was very helpful and I would use the hotel again.

Great location for the price
We stayed there for one night. The rooms were clean and the service was great. The only issue was that breakfast was about 3 blocks away and we didnt have time to go there in the morning, and during the whole stay there were no cups for coffee or tea, and staff members were unable to find any.

Great First Experience in Playa
We stayed at Aqualuna for 9 nights; our room was at the ground level, and the bathroom window was on a busy street. Most of the time the room was quiet, but a few nights we could hear the street noise (calle 14). This, and the lack of a strong wi-fi connection inside the room, were the only drawbacks. Otherwise, it was a great experience. The desk people were fantastic: they were all helpful, kind, and dedicated individuals who made our stay a real pleasure. They provided us with information on restaurants, trips, transportation, local customs, etc. They were all fully bilingual (Sp-En). The room was always clean, with several fresh towels every day. The fan and the AC worked perfectly, and so did the TV, the mini fridge, and the safe box . The shower was big and the hot water never ran out. Soap, shampoo, conditioner, body wash and body lotion were regularly replenished. Bottled drinking water was provided for free every day in the room. In the common area there was always water (both cold and hot) 24/7 for coffee and tea (and a nice touch, camomile tea). The computer access in the common area was available 24/7, and the wi-fi connection was great (but no skype). The Beach Club option was great as well. Las Mamitas is only a few blocks away (calle 28), and Aqualuna provided both the beach towels and the coupons for the umbrella and the beds. (The coupons include also a 10% discount for food). Aqualuna is one of the best hotels of its size-range we have stayed and we would definitely go back:)

Dining tip:
Short walk from hotel
If you like fish, make a stop at La Pesca on Av. 30 and calle 16. Everyting there is super. And if you'd like to taste an authentic everyday meal, stop by Tortamania next to the Colectivo depot (Av. 20 and calle 2). Their "caldo con pollo" is amazing:)

Accessible to all the place that you need to do in your vacation. From food, wine, recreational area to amenities that u need to do or get. Just be sure to get the best price that they can offer.watch out for taxi driver that take advantage on u. ask 1st the price before u ride especially when u wear the bracelet & acting really tourist. I love this hotel everything is around the corner. Nightlife is awesome..depends in how u do it... Kudos to front desk people YURI & Cristine nice people.

fantastic summer fun!
The people at Aqualuna were very helpful and friendly. They provided a lot of useful information about the trips we were taking to Xcaret and Chichen itza. The location was great because we were looking for a place to rest and get away from the city. The hotel was walking distance to the beach and to the main Avenue where we bought all our great presents. We weren't looking for anything luxurious, so if you are looking for something fancy, this isn't for you. There was no pool, but the beach was not too far away to cool down. It was small and confortable. I would definately stay here again.

Great, small hotel
For my first time in Mexico, I never felt more at home than at Aqualuna. Even though our flight was delayed, the hotel saved our room overnight and waited for our arrival. [...]is the most friendly front desk attendant I have ever met. Being relatively young and in a foreign country, he monitored our safety and helped to warn us about where to go, and how to get anywhere we needed in the cheapest fashion. The maid even organized little things we left on the tables, and folded clothes we had left on the bed or hanging in the shower. The room was tiny, but when they gave us only one bed, they quickly reassigned our room. The garden is beautiful, and at night completely peaceful. They work to provide any amenity you need, including a public computer and outdoor area. The breakfast is at another hotel, but is extensive and and only a few blocks away. Also the hotel is very near the beach (with connections to a beach club), and 5th street. I enjoyed coming back to our hotel every night, and would definitely stay there again. The downside would be the slightly clammy and small rooms, but no one goes to mexico simply to spend time in their hotel room. I loved aqualuna.
