Good value

I have stayed here in the past. It is a good location and a good value. I will stay here again. The staff used to be better. I barely ever need help, but the few times I needed help, I did not get it. Twice I needed to change a 500 peso note, they said they didn't have change, and offered no solution. I went to the main location, and felt I was ignored. When the internet was down, they sent me to the main location. It was down there too. I was rarely greeted by the staff, except for the maid and an engineer. Both of whom recognized me from my previous visits. This is not a deal breaker for me; I just think that they used to be better.

Amazing location and space for the price!!

We stayed in Puerto Vallarta for 5 days and absolutely loved our time there. The Los Arcos hotel trio (suite, playas and casa susana) were all lovely old-style establishments that were very charming and comfortable. Our room was clean and large and bright. We decided not to do the all-inclusive, so we could take advantage of all the great restaurants in the area (which I would suggest.) The pool on top of the Susana was very relaxing and nice. The beach area and pool directly in front of the playas los arcos is way overcrowded and dirty, but you walk 20 feet left or right down the beach and it's heavenly. La Palapa at night is very romantic and gorgeous. We would definitely return!

Within a 5-7 block area there are multiple restaurants. Walk around the first day to get aquainted with the area and find restaurants you might like to eat at. Something will definitely catch your eye.

Another good experience

This is the forth time we have stayed at Los Arcos Suites and enjoyed the experience. We like it because of the location in old town where a lot of our favorite restaurants are. We were given a room of the first floor next to the pool which was handy but a little noisy when the children were swimming. We like the Spanish Colonial furniture and the king size bed is very comfortable. Only bad experience was the phone did not work in our room the whole time we were there! We have always enjoyed the breakfast buffet but the quality and selection was down this year compared to before! Overall good experience!

Great value, Great Location

Staff were incredible polite and helpful in every way. The location of the property, including their sister properties are phenomenal. There are a few minor cosmetic blemishes, but if you can look past stark white light bulbs hanging from the ceiling, or minor cracks/pieces missing on the molding on the counter top, this is your place. Having a kitchen, a patio and a refrigerator make for a great patio breakfast!

Zona Romantica Hotel

Decided to stay at this hotel as it's close to the beach, restaurants and nightlife we enjoy. The hotel is affiliated with two other hotels right near it - this hotel was not family or child oriented it seemed which worked great for us. In addition I was with my partner and two other gay couples and we did not have any problems. The rooms are a little older and could use some updating, but I cannot complain much given the price we paid.

Diana's Boat Cruise - if you are glbt - fly in on a Wednesday and take Diana's cruise on Thursday. Not only is it a great all day adventure - you meet all the people you will see on the beach and out and about for the rest of your stay - makes it much more fun!

In the Heart of Puerto Vallarta

If you' re looking for an authentic Mexican get-away this is the place par excellence. The hotel is spanish decor in a beautiful green and luscious tropical garden where you will find the pool, hear the birds and smell the flowers. The rooms are huge, include a family room, master bedroom with king bed, small washroom but then two additional sinks, one in the kitchen and one in the dressing area. Loads of storage space, kitchen utensils, personal safe, tv, remote are standard fare. They keep the place clean and the sheets soft. Plenty of towels. No one prohibits you entering with food or drink since you rented an efficiency unit. You can even order out !! The 2 sister-hotels, Playa and Casa Susanna share their pools and outdoor amenities with us. We we drawn to the roof-top pool and terrace at Casa Susanna. Each unit has at least one balcony facing the street but with a view to the setting sun over the Pacific. Being right in the heart of Viejo Vallarta has its advantages but it tends to be noisy at night till about 10pm. Not having to take daily taxis though really appealed to us. We would and will go back to the same place in the future. Liked it very much. It has its own charm and in no way could be dropped from the sky into any city in the world. Its PV all the way...

They often sell the same item you see in sidewalk stalls in proper retail outlets. Unbelievably, the retailer sells it cheaper. The food in most every restaurant is good but we found that for an additional 10USD each we could have a culinary experience in the best restaurants.
