A Great Value
This was our first stay at this hotel. It is a former timeshare/condo and is currently under renovation. Was it perfect? Maybe not, but we go to PV every year for several weeks and we had our best overall experience ever at the Vamar. The staff (I mean every member of the staff!!) was committed to serving the customer. From the moment we arrived and for the full three weeks we never encountered a negative word or attitude from the staff. Mariano greeted us when we arrived and always gave a smile and all the help we needed. Claudia checked us in ensured that we had a renovated room. Every morning we ate breakfast two feet from the marina waters watching the yachts and sail boats coming and going while Marisio, Omar and Roberto waited on us. In the evening we ate at the same restaurant being treated exceptionally by Enrique, Samuel, and Salvador. Now this is the "buffet" restaurant. The buffet here is better than average and there was always a hot grill with something special being served. In the morning fresh eggs, any style including great omelets, and pancakes and french toast were being prepared fresh and fresh juices and fruit. There is also a more formal Italian restaurant where we met Daniel. The food and service was good, but there is no marina so we ate there only twice. The Hotel is divided by a road. The main part is on the marina side and across the road is the ocean side. If you like to sun yourself, you have a choice to lay by the pool/marina or walk across the street (or Mariano will take you) and lay right next to the ocean. Security at the hotel was excellent with staff like Lorenzo are very friendly yet watchful. The bar staff, Richardo, Jose, Huber, & Manuel, always served good drinks and all that you wanted. On the ocean side, Omar and Jacqueline served us such that we did not have to leave our chairs to get a drink. This is a hotel that presents a happy face. We plan to stay there again next year and looking to a 5 week stay. One suggestion; many rooms do not have balconies. Pay the few extra dollars per day to get the "superior room w/balcony".

MariannChiles is a new restaurant in the Marina area and is the first restaurant you encounter when you enter the side gate to the marina, near the hotel. Gourmet food very reasonable prices. You may have a new favorite restaurant!

Very Nice
This is a very nice, clean hotel and the staff was very curtious. The location to the Marina shops and eating couldn't be any better. We only stayed one night as we had already rented a condo for our stay but I would stay here again,.

The facility is nice enough however the music was loud in the lobby/bar area. Also we were never able to login to the internet and the hotel only offered access in the lobby. The breakfast buffet was decent.

Very Relaxing
Very much enjoyed our stay!! The staff was very helpful and made our stay memorable! Food was above average and the entertainment was a lot of fun!! The location was great as well, close walk to shopping, food, and activities. Only complaint is there is a lot of construction going on and not everything is available.

Excellent Staff
My friend and I went to this resort over our Spring Break and were presently surprised. While the first day or two we were there there was hardly anyone else there, the more it went towards the weekend the busier it got. The nice thing though is that it was never over run. The food was just average, but the Marina has plenty of great good and is really safe to walk around in. The best part hands down of the experience was the staff though. They were happy and helpful and made the experience totally worth it.

Great Hotel - Great Price
The Embarcadero Pacifico hotel was located in a great area between the Marina Vallarta and the Ocean. Rooms were very clean and staff friendly & helpful! The view from our room was beautiful looking out over one of the pools and the marina. We spent alot of time on the beach-front side just enjoying the scenery. Walked along the beach. Went walking around the Marina shops/restaurants, which was very nice. Took a bus down to Old Vallarta and had a great dinner and enjoyed some night-life. Enjoyed PV much more than Cancun or Cozumel and will likely return.

In Hotel
the buffets served outside could have been warmer. there is two poolside buffet locations and one indoor restaraunt. menu was limited but at the restaraunt was very nicely prepared and tasted great. allow time in the morning for staff to prepare breakfast. coffee was ready between 0730-0800 meals after 0800.

A work of art in progress
We stayed 5 days at the beginning of Dec.and the hotel was taken over by a new group of people the month before we got there. We refused the fist 2 rooms they showed us as unexceptable. They were old and very shabby. With the help form the Bell Hop, named Mareano we were able to get a 3 bedroom 3 bathroom Suite on the 5th floor overlooking the pool and the harbor. We were 2 couples and the room had a full kitchen. It was a very nice upgrade and at no additional cost to us. The food was good and the waiter we had everyday named Samuel was as good as any waiter we have had ever he really went the extra mile to make sure we had everything we wanted. The activity director named Matthew is form Canada and has been in Mexico Fro 11 years with a local wife and 2 children. He is a great saait to the hotel. They were in the process of remodeling 50 rooms when we were there, and have plans to keep going until the entire hotel is upgraded. They have a pool and swim up bar by the Marina wher the hotel is located and 2pools withen a 2 block walk by the ocean very beautiful. Worth a look if you want good food and great srevice we will be going back there for part of our vacation in 2011 for sure. I hope Moerano got what he wanted the night we left. We will see you next year. Jon & Gina Pullman WA.
