Centuries-old guesthouse with modern amenities near ramparts of Medina
The Riad Nerja is located within a recently restored, centuries-old, UNESCO World Heritage-listed house. The guesthouse features traditional Moroccan art, fabrics and furnishings. The property sits near the ramparts at the east side of the old city. From the hotel, it is about a mile to the bustling markets at Djemma El-fna town square, a mile and a half to the Saadian Tombs, and two miles to Koutoubia Mosque. Guests at the Riad Nerja receive a complimentary breakfast each morning. The hotel has high-speed Internet access (free) in guest rooms.Riad Nerja Rooms

Authentic "local" feel
Stayed 4 nights in the "Soraya" suite. Pros: -Clean, comfortable, friendly staff -10 min walk to the "Square" Take notes on how to get back to the Riad!!! Cons: -Hard to find on your own. -Pricey dinner. Ask how much before you order. No menu. Better yet, walk to the Square and eat there. -Free WIFI was sporadic, at best.

Short walk from hotel
There are a few "tourist-friendly" restaurants where you can have a decent/authentic meal for a reasonable price. The Souks are close by as well, for all your trinkets. If able, stock up on pre-packaged snacks from a local market to keep in your room.

Nice place, tough location
The staff of Riad Nerja is simply wonderful. Warm, friendly, unobtrusive, helpful. Great food, nice advice... really first-class. The room (Sultane Suite) was not as great as the pictures led us believe however. And, the air conditioning barely worked (temps outside were in the 110's) Also a tough, mildewy smell. The toughest thing was that the Riad was a 15 minute walk away from the heart of the medina (the Place Djerma, the souks, etc.) We had no problem with directions, but were harassed every single time we went from the Riad to the main part of the medina. Really annoying.

Difficile à trouver
Cet hôtel est agréable, à un quart d'heure à pied de la place Jemaa el Fna, mais très difficile à trouver en voiture et même à pieds. Appeler le patron qui vient chercher les clients où ils se trouvent. Cela évite de se faire arnaquer par des guides volontaires mais pas toujours honnêtes.

Nos alojamos una noche en el Riad
Nos alojamos una noche en el Riad Nerja y nos gustó mucho la estancia. Considero totalmente necesario ponerse en contacto con el Riad antes de ir y quedar con el encargado en algún lugar más fácil de encontrar, ya que nosotros no lo hicimos y nos costó mucho llegar a él. Por lo demás, la limpieza, y el servicio son exquisitos.
