The hotel is much better than most without the hefty price tag. Staff were exceptionally friendly and helpful and the only thing I can fault was the uncomfortable pillows - though they even have a pillow service to sort that out if need be!

Luxurious and excellent value for money. Staff very helpful and friendly. Food very good but layout of the dining area could do with improvement as it was difficult to get round the buffet area for breakfast at peak time!! Hotel only accessible Northbound and can only exit Northbound although we were told that Southbound access and exit is being looked into!!

Séjour agréable avec équipements de qualité, mais un peu excentré d'Amsterdam (15 mn navette puis 15 mn de train) avec des surcouts pour un séjour familial (environ 30 euros aller retour Amsterdam / aéroport pour 4 personnes).
Internet payant, et seulement carte de 90 mn à l'achat !
Petit dej non compris et plus cher qu'annoncé pour les enfants.

Gutes und sauberes Hotel, helle große Zimmer, 20 minuten mit Tram bis Stadtmitte, viele Einkaufsmöglichkeiten, KFC und Restaurants, ein P+R Parkhaus direkt neben dran (8€ parken für 24 Stunden TOP!!!) das Viertel ist nicht die aller beste, nichtsdestotrotz haben wir nichts negatives gespürt!

Great,clean,well equipped hotel just a short tram or bus journey from the centre of Amsterdam. Ideal for those who don't mind retiring from the party scene at a reasonable hour ( last tram is half 12 though there are later buses). Good value for money, would definately book again and recommend to friends.

Nous venons effectivement de passer un fort agréable séjour dans le Lloyd hôtel idéalement situé, nous avons particulièrement apprécié le style , l'ambiance , les couettes .... l' accueil a été des plus sympathiques Tout etait super !
Et pourtant...si je devais faire quelques remarques visant à l'amélioration de l'établissement , j' aurai aimé une petite touche de confort supplémentaire dans nos chambres ( nous avions la 207 ) ... un fauteuil , des rideaux plus épais pour cacher la luminosité du matin , des lampes de chevet plus accessibles , (la salle de bain nous a bcp surpris , nous sommes peu habitués ( en France ) à avoir nos toilettes donnant directement sur les fenêtres .... trés atypique chez nous ... ce qui nous a fait beaucoup rire finalement, on s'est adapté !! ...)
Nous avions vu de jolis chambres par ailleurs sur photo , la notre m' a semblé bien spartiate du coup !! .... je ne souleverai pas la question de l'amélioration de l'acoustique trés difficile à mettre en oeuvre dans un tel établissement
A noter le point café dans le couloir est une bonne idée mais nous n avons pas pu faire chauffer l'eau ...
Sinon le charme et le détournement architectural du lieu nous a ravi. Nous ne manquerons pas de faire éloge du LLoyd autour de nous

Schönes und gut geführtes Hotel, wir hatten ein zustäzliches Bett im Zimmer erhalten (3 Erwachsene Personen) leider war das Zusatzbett praktisch ein Kinderbett.. Ansonsten sehr zufrieden, dem Morgenessen Buffet fehlte nichts und war sehr vielfältig.

The hotel was in an excellent location. Just a few minutes walk from the Amsterdam Central Station, which you will need to get around Amsterdam. The single bed room is nice and modern. A tad bit small but very comfortable. The only issue I had with the hotel was the fact that they didn't have a real computer lab. They only had 2 computers for public use and they charged for internet service.

The hotel upgraded our room to an executive suite which was really nice. We were on the same side as the busy street and canal but did think was noise was too bad. Just behind the hotel are all the museums. It was a short tram ride to the Anne Frank house and red light district.

Nice alternative next door to more expensive Hilton in quiet residential neighborhood. A bit out of city center, but easy walking/tram to all points of interest and services. Very comfortable room - only comment is no A/C and rooms tend to be hot (we were there in October/November). Pleasant staff. Didn't use restaurant, but looked nice (and on expensive side, but that's Amsterdam).

It is a clean room with big bed, but the heater didnt work well. The stuff there is quite nice and friendly, they always tell you the most ecnomic way for your transportation choice. But it was a pity that I didnt have time to taste the breakfast there.

Mit der Lage waren wir sehr zufrieden, schnelle Straßenbahnanbindung zu allen wichtigen Orten. Wir hatten Zimmer Nr. 410 (4. Stock mit Lift) mit Aussicht auf einen kleinen Park. Die Zimmer sind sehr hellhörig, man hört die direkten Nachbarn sprechen und die Zimmertüren schließen sehr laut. Außerdem gibts einen kleinen Spalt rund um die Tür, durch den Licht und Lärm vom Gang ins Zimmer kommt. Die Straßenbahn, die vor dem Hotel vorbei fährt, hört man natürlich auch.
In der Nacht ist es aber ruhig, wir haben gut geschlafen.
Das Zimmer war sehr eng, aber für 4 Nächte ausreichend. Das Bad war auch winzig, aber es war alles vorhanden, was man braucht. Vor allem war das Bad immer sehr sauber und wir bekamen jeden Tag frische Handtücher.
Die Betten waren 2 zusammengeschobene Einzelbetten mit Federkernmatratzen (leider spürbar). Waren aber trotzdem bequem und sauber.
Die Fenster sind nur kippbar, da wir aber im März gereist sind und es nicht allzu warm war, war das kein Problem.
Ein kleiner Mangel war der Teppich, er gehört dringend erneuert (sehr ausgetreten) und öfter gestaubsaugt.
Sehr gut gefallen hat mir die kleine Teeküche mit Wasserkocher.
Das Frühstück haben wir nicht genutzt, es gibt eine gute Auswahl an Frühstückslokalen direkt beim Hotel.
Weil wir keine Kreditkarte mit hatten, mussten wir beim einchecken 50€ hinterlegen, und am letzten Tag mussten wir noch eine Steuer bezahlen, die ca. 10€ ausmachte.
Alles in allem waren wir zufrieden, das Preis-Leistungsverhältnis passt, und wir würden wieder kommen.

Das Zimmer war für 2 Personen genau richtig, etwas unangenehm war die Tatsache, dass es kein Doppelbett gab sondern zwei zusammengeschobene Einzelbetten ansonsten war die Lage perfekt und im Großem und Ganzen ein wunderbarer Aufenthalt ich würde wieder in diesem Hotel einchecken!

Great Boutique Hotel, Large room, excellent amenities

Temperature control is simple, but very noiseless, so it is not clear if it working fast enough. The blankets are soft and light, but too warm for comfort. Would have liked a less warm blanket, since temperature does not go too low. Great view of harbor and central station, which is about 5 to 7 minutes walk from the hotel. Overall experience is excellent.

This hotel was such a treat! Great location, and alot of character. Great staff and very cool ambience. I never used any of the restaurants in the hotel, but as always, they seemed abit pricier than some of the other local options closeby. I would return here without a question, and it is definitely bettter than the average hotel chain.

A bit wary cos of the previous comments about the carpets. There was a funny smell but I think that was cos they had tried to clean the carpets. Ours was ok. The smell soon disappeared. Breakfast is 15euros. Book it at reception the day before and you get 2euros 50 off. Staff very helpful. We were there 3 nights and had a towel change daily. We would definately come back here again.

freundliches, hilfsbereites Personal; im Großen und Ganzen sehr sauber; wenn wir etwas benötigt haben, wurde es binnen 10 min. für uns erledigt; ziemlich zentral gelegen, haben die Stadt zu Fuß erkundet; auch Anschluss zum Flughafen mit Bus (nur 5 min. zum Leidseplein zu Fuß); für den nächsten Amsterdam Trip würde ich auf alle Fälle wieder dieses Hotel buchen; hatten Zimmer im ersten Stock zur Straßenseite gelegen, dadurch etwas lauter. Frühstück wäre kostenpflichtig gewesen, sind aber Cafés in der Nähe.

Hübsches Hotel an wirklich guter Lage. Zentral und ruhig.
Das Zimmer war so klein, dass es nicht einmal Platz für Yogaübungen am Boden hatte. Doppelbett nur von einer Seite her zugänglich; im Bad konnte man sich fast nicht drehen, so eng war es.

For my purpose excellent location. Due to sitation close to A10 ringroad having the window open overnight is no option (unless on ground floor and other hotel side).
Service level could be improved: bar and restaurant close at 23 hrs although nearby course center of Landmark delivers many guests coming back to the hotel at that time.

Overall I wasn't disappointed at all. My first room I was a little unhappy due to my height and this particular room, though it was very quaint and comfortable it was tough, but after voicing my minor complaint they switched up my room and I actually ended up with an upgrade right away. The AM breakfast is very tasty and has a good variety of foods to appease most palettes, though I would like to add that it is charged to your room, though I don't think the pricing is posted or made clear unless asked, just fair warning, but I felt it was of value. The club was also entertaining, just make sure to talk to the hosts during the day to get on the list.
Buy a tram pass from the host and don't forget to tap on and off the tram ;-)

Das Hotel liegt sehr zentral, direkt bei einer Tramstation. Es ist auch für eine Familie mit 2 Kindern im Zimmer gut geeinet. Die Zimmer sind sehr sauber und auch die Größe ist o.k.

There isn't much to complain about with this hotel. The staff was friendly, room was spacious and comfortable, and the location is really convenient. One of the few minor complaints I have is that the 30-minute vouchers for use of wifi in the lobby is a bit annoying, considering that there are a ton of cafes sporting free wifi all over the city. All in all, it was a very nice stay.

Keine Sicht aus dem Fenster: Grund: die Aussenseite der Fenster war mit Tüchern verhangen. Dadurch konnten wir nicht aus dem Fenster schauen, war nicht schön!! TV ohne Deutsche Sender. Das Bad war sehr schön, jedoch die Brause in der Dusche sehr schwach.

For starters, I traveled to Amsterdam unplanned because it was a spur of the moment thing so I reserved this hotel very quickly and while a few bad reviews made me think twice about it, I didn't paid any attention to it and it paid off.
First of all, this is not a fancy hotel nor a new or recently remoleded one, this hotel is just perfect for a solo traveler or a couple who isn't very picky, for me as a solo traveler, I'm not to fond of staying at hostels but don't have a lot of money for a pricey one but Hotel de Paris fits just perfectly. The prices is in the range of a Motel 6 and has every basic thing: a bed, closet, free safebox, bathroom, hot shower, television, hair dryer and an elevator.
Now, Amsterdam is a very old city and therefore the hotel is quite old and musty but it has its charm, it is quite conviently located a kilometer away from the heart of the city and a few more meters from central station. If you are carrying a backpack, it would take about fifteen minutes to walk from central station to the hotel, and if you're carrying more stuff and/or don't want to walk, just take the 172 bus from central station and it is a brisk ten minute drive to Raampein stop were it is in front of the hotel. The trip will cost €2. I recommend the "I amsterdam" pass for three days, with it you can take the city's tram and bus services, and can get into the most important museums in town. As for me, the real treat was to rent a bike, which costs between €10 to €15 per day, as just rode arount Amsterdam, it is amazing how many people use this transportation method, I wish I lived in a city like it but I digress.
Some of the rooms have a very distinct smell of old so for the faint of heart I recommend to use a room deodorant that can be easily bought in a store or better yet bring one from the US, obviously much cheaper, and just plug it in the electrical outlet just don't forget to buy your American-European converter because it will cost you double in Holland. Buy one from eBay, they're so cheap it's ridiculous and they work nicely.
One of the best things is the hotel staff, they're very kind and welcoming, it just feels like a bed and breakfast, and speaking of breakfast, it is included in the hotel fee as a contentinental but not like in the US were it is just bread, butter and old coffee, at Hotel de Paris it is a real treat with quite a charming room. I had such a good breakfast that I looked forward to it every morning.
The drawbacks is that it is a bit noisy because of the streets and the other rooms so, if you can, request a room from the back, those are less noisy, and watch out for the stairsa because they're seemed to be made for children, I'm 5' 11" and almost loose my footing a couple of times.
Overall, I recommend this hotel for all travelers who just want a nice, private and centric room at good price. I will defintely will reserve again in this hotel next time I visit Amsterdam.

I got a single room which is clean and has a private bath. Barely enough room to turn around. But great for if you just need a place to crash. Clean and nice service. The tram is right across the street too so convenient.
