Amstel Botel
The Amstel Botel in Amsterdam has been moved. The ferry service to get there is very efficient but you need to adjust for the extra time to get there. The Botel is moderately priced and the accommodations are adequate for the price. Breakfast is not included but available for 10 Euro per person.

Eat breakfast outside of the Botel as what is offered is not worth the 10 Euro price.

It was an interesting experience
It was an interesting experience staying on the water. Our room was a little close to the main stairway and bar but the gentle motion of the boat got us to sleep while people were still having a good time. All in all it was a good stay. The room was clean, the water was hot at all times, the bar very reasonably priced and in how many places can you open the curtains in the morning to the sight of an old Russian submarine?

The Botel is a 20 minute ferry
The Botel is a 20 minute ferry ride from Amsterdam Central. The ferries run every half-hour from 7:00AM to Midnight, and are free. The rooms (cabins) are small as is the en suite, but adequate. I would stay there again.

Hotel ok, rather thin walls and rooms get very stuffy. Novelty factor good, the ferry over is very regular and good service but this gets to be a bit of a bind to get to and from Amsterdam.

I liked this hotel, purely for
I liked this hotel, purely for its uniqueness. The location was good, it was lovely and quiet and fantastic views from both sides of the boat (I had a beautiful sunset view from my room on the top floor). The only downside was travelling to the centre, which I think was just me being lazy. Transportation to the hotel is fantastic. There are free boat/ferries that take you to a dock, next to the boat which take around 10 mins to get to each side, then after midnight the Botel offers a free bus shuttle from another dock (as boats stop to the main one). The boat did rock slightly when other boats passed, but this all added to the fun of staying on a Botel! We all found ourselves rocking whilst out during the day! The room was small (especially the bathrrom) however was clean and beds were comfy. I would return again, it was an experience!

Although not exactly centrally
Although not exactly centrally located, it is only a short free ferry ride direct from Centraal station, which makes it very easy to find. However aside from the fantastic service the rooms themselves were terrible. Uncomfortable beds, tiny t.v with a remote that was duct taped together. a shower that leaked and sprayed all over the rest of the bathroom, had no water pressure. a non existent a/c, our room as so hot and humid! you would almost be better off in a hostel. A least breakfast was included, however for the price I would have liked a coffee/tea service in the room. I will not stay again. However the staff were very pleasant and helpful and iI was glad not to have any "suprise fees" when I arrived.

Have stayed in this hotel many
Have stayed in this hotel many time, but this is not a luxorious hotel as you now state , I found it to be dated, the location has changed and is now positioned away from the city itself, ferry OK every 1/2 hour but for the money have stayed in better places, wont be going back, upon check in no booking could be found in our name, eventually everythink OK
