Bastion Hotel Group stands for a personal atmosphere, hospitality, comfort and good facilities for an attractive rate. Bastion Hotel Amsterdam Centre Southwest offers a 24 hour front office, comfortable rooms and an extensive choice of dishes from the a la carte menu in the atmospheric restaurant. For relaxation and a nice ending of the day guests are always welcome in the cozy hotel bar or smoking lounge. This lounge contains an lcd television, air-conditioning and relaxing lounge chairs. The hotel also has free wireless internet in the entire hotel. In the lobby the hotel has a computer available, for guests, for free use of the internet. Domestic animals are not allowed. Parking costs 15 euro per 24 hours.

Basic, cheap, fine if you are looking for a place just to rest your head

Stayed here for 3 nights late last week. Staff: friendly and helpful. Location: 7min walk to nearest tram stop and a 10min tram journey to main centre. (10mins from airport one tram stop followed by one train stop) Room: very basic, beds were not so comfortable and the shower had no door, just a curtain. The room was absolutely freezing and the heating took a very long time to be effective. No hairdryer, fridge but no minibar or snacks. Cleaner woke us up every morning (between 7 and 8am). Despite all this, our stay was okay because we got a good deal and only needed a place to sleep at night as we were out the entire time. If I was to visit Amsterdam again I would choose a place more central.

Great for a week end break

Although you have to walk to get the tram into the city (about 8 mins) to the tram stop. They are very regular. . Takes about 10 mins but you can get on and off where you like.There were some steps opposite the hotel to go up to get to the tram stop, but if you cant do steps you can walk the long way round the back of the hotel to the other stop.

For my purpose excellent location.

For my purpose excellent location. Due to sitation close to A10 ringroad having the window open overnight is no option (unless on ground floor and other hotel side). Service level could be improved: bar and restaurant close at 23 hrs although nearby course center of Landmark delivers many guests coming back to the hotel at that time.
