Best Western Apollo Museumhotel Amsterdam

The hotel staff was wonderful, check in went smoothly and the hotel staff was professional. The floor manager saw the excessive amount of luggage we had and immediately switched rooms so that we would be more comfortable. The room was spotless and comfortable with a corner view out to the Rijksmuseum to the right, the Hard Rock Cafe to the left and a busy canal across the street.

The staff was truly helpful. Although was small for to people, it was kept lean. It's proximity to he museums makes it convenient for art and history lovers, like us.

perfect location, not so close to central, but nice enough with all the museums, nice room, clean staff are very helpful.

The rooms we were given were at the basement. And they were very very small. Small is even to big for the room. And in the BASEMENT. Are you kidding me. The location is the best part. In front of the museum square. The bathroom was awfully planned. Don't know if that is how our is done in the Netherlands. So no more comments on that. The front desk was pretty friendly. But waaaaaaaaay tooooooo pricey for the value they offer. Moreover from most of the time we didn't get the internet connection. It never went more than 2 bars. But as mentioned it was more or less stuck at 0 or 1. Hope u find it useful. Stayed September 2012

This hotel was exactly what we needed -- clean, close to everything, friendly and helpful staff.... everything you could ask for in a hotel.

The hotel is at a good location being in the Museumplein area (close to Rijksmuseum) and close to the Leidseplein restaurant area. The room and beds were small but clean.

Went here for four nights, got the rooms for like $80 a night. Small room one bedroom thats it nothing really. But perfect for college budget with a little extra to spend. A little noisy, but really was what I was looking for after coming from America, living in London for a couple months and a vacation.

Because my english is not so good, i made a few headworts. pro: -good located -polite staff -clean (except the point below) -good price contra: -haires, we found on the first day, removed not before we told twice to the staff -small bathroom (flooding after showering) -empty shampoo was not replaced by the staff although i layed it in the shower -just 3 german chanels on the television tip: don't do anything in the minibar. there are sensors wich are very sensitive and they probably will charge your credit card.

The hotel has a great location for museums and "local" area. Trams/busses to station nearby. Rooms are adequate by European standards, but large bed leaves little room for luggage, etc. Some rooms have a minibar under desk. Bathroom sink is in a narrow alcove that makes it difficult to brush hair with elbow sticking out, and shower is narrow. Overall, though, staff was very helpful and it is good value

Very friendly staff and a great location to all attractions.
