Noisy and not worth the price
I booked this hotel because I'm on a budget and I figured, even though other reviews were on the negative side, I would be fine. I didn't want a fancy hotel or exceptional service. All I wanted was a place to sleep for a few hours between my trips around Amsterdam. Instead, I was in a room that was close to both the elevators and a heavy hallway door. I spent the entire night hearing the elevator move between the floors (not just the occasional ding- every movement!# and the slam of the hall door every time anyone walked in the hall. I was lucky to get three hours of relative peace. I also have a giant bruise #small canteloupe sized# on my leg because the hand rail for getting in and out of the tub was in a bad location and I slipped. I was lucky it wasn't worse #I was also sober, FWIW). Also, I'm only 5'2", so it may not be an issue for many people, but the tub's rim was above my knee so I wouldn't recommend this hotel for the short and less flexible.

When you get to Schipol (the airport) see if you can get a bus pass. They have a city card for 50 euros (or something like that) and if you have time to see many of the attractions, it might be worth it. But if you can't spend the money to see a lot of the things listed (some discounts are good, like the one for the Van Gogh museum, but some of it is just junk). You can get a 72 hour bus and tram pass for 16.50 euros. Stay in any hotel that will be on any bus/tram route in Amsterdam, because the transport system is really good there. Just make sure you carefully check maps before hand, so you have a good idea of what route/routes to take, because the sheer number of possible routes can make it confusing if you aren't sure what to do.

Hotel allowed us to have a room early!!! We were exhausted from a long trip over night. They gave us a beautiful room with a wonderful view. They had a great breakfast buffet for a reasonable price every day. The staff were pleasant and knowlegable.Well worth the money.

Good hotel, worse location
This is very good hotel, clean room, good breakfast. But ... be carefully which room you get. We stay on ground floor and next window was about one meter. And I think that price of parking 15€ is so lot. We had a perfect trip.

Its a decent hotel
They need to get their billing system right. I had prepaid and they told me I had to pay for the room. They had to look it up again before finding out that their system had not been updated correctly. Keep your receipt handy always.

good hotel in awfull neighborhood
very hard to find, staff has hard time giving directions. room environment is good, nice lobby, wish computers would work once in a while, they don't. neighborhood has become a ghetto, I personally would not walk the streets after dark, and due to this most certainly would not recommend this hotel. at check out they tried to collect room charges..again.
