Blyss Hotel Amsterdam

Dark, poorly lit room half in the basement that needed a space heater to avoid freezing. Unspecified possible shower gel in wall dispenser instead of separate shampoo. One of the worst breakfasts possible for 10 euros. should be classified a 2 star hotel. for a 2 star it would rate " ok". They also charged an extra 10 euros on top of this site but this was not specified in this travel site. On plus side the room was clean. Easy walk to museums.

We were pleasantly surprised by the standards of the rooms. they have walk in showers and very modern equipment with a large flat screen TV on the wall. The hotel staff are very helpful and make your stay in Amsterdam very enjoyable. We thought it was excellent value for money and well positioned to see the sights and to eat.

Location wasn't worth it for this not so nice hotel room.....rooms are super mini and don't let the flatscreen sell you not many English channels...place was dirty no room service they never made our beds shower curtain was gross and we got stuck in the "garden area" aka the basement with narrow stairs to hump luggage up and down (no elevator to "garden area) Would strongly not recommend I'm 25 and my girlfriend 22 we are not high maintenance by any means and this place sucked!!!!

It's a simple hotel with a very good location, in the heart of Amsterdam. But the service is poor. There is only one towel per person in each room. Despite the lift, there are a lot of stairs to overcome. Some rooms are located in the basement floor and the only things that you can see through the small windows are the wheels of the cars parked on street.

Quiet, friendly, efficient. Breakfast was not included in the price but we were very happy with this hotel.

We arrived very early, about 9:30am after a long flight from Kuala Lumpur, and were allowed to our room straight away. Normally we would have to wait till 2pm. It was so kind of the reception staff to do so. A hot shower was there to wake us up to enjoy a very cold but always exciting day in Amsterdam. The hotel is close to the Museum Plein, with all the famous museums and close to the tram which takes you to all other attractions of Amsterdam. The staff of the hotel is very friendly and helpful. Thanks to their advice we had a very nice evening in the nearby Bar Helmer. Local meeting point. We enjoyed our stay in this quiet hotel and will be back again.

Good value for money, nothing special but quite cosy. Excellent location, would stay here again.

Good location, one block off the #1 tram. Good room for rate vs. other local options. Convenient access from and to Central Station for train to airport.

le chauffage baisse enormement la nuit, donc froid et pas de 2eme couverture... les photos sur leur site sont tres avantageuses contrairement à la réalité, les chambres ne sont pas tres belles... la douche fonctionne mal... je recommandrais cet hotel si ces 3 points etaient améliorés...

Das Blyss Hotel ist etwa 5 Minuten entfernt von einem grossen Platz (leidsplein) entfernt. In der Nähe hat es einen Tramanschluss, an dem Bequem ins Stadtzentrum fahren kann. Eine der grössten Parks von Amsterdam ist ca. 200 Meter vom Hotel entfernt. Die Lage ist also perfekt. Das Zimmer war sauber, es hatte lediglich Kalkflecken in der Dusche. In der einen oberen Ecke des Hotelzimmers hatte es ein kleines Loch, war aber nicht weiter schlimm. Die Fenster waren leider nicht sehr gut isoliert/abgedichtet. Man hörte so den Verkehr recht gut. Hatten einen Fernseher + Kühlschrank. Mit dem Personal hatten wir nicht viel zu tun. War aber recht freundlich. Insgesamt ein gutes Hotel
