This is a basic hotel but with one of the most sought after locations in town. jg/11/2010 This is a traditional, unassuming building in keeping with the surrounding buildings. This hotel has a prime location in the centre of Amsterdam, just a 1 minute walk from the Dam Square. It is situated in the heart of the action, so close to shops, restaurants, bars and within a 5 minute walk from the red light district, flower market, canal boat cruises and much, much more.

The hotel is very central, right

The hotel is very central, right on Rokin's main strip. Our bedroom was right at the front so a bit boomtastic at night, but we stayed at the weekend. The hotel decor is tired and our room was a bit shabby, but very clean, and maid serviced every morning. A very, very comfortable bed and pillows. I slept really well, noise aside. Breakfast was a basic continental but fresh plus lovely coffee. All in all a bit expensive for what it was but I decided I was paying a little extra for the location, which if you're there to shop, pub and do the sights of Amsterdam, it's perfectly good.

Great friendly staff, always h

Great friendly staff, always helpful...location was good too; easily accessible to everything...expected a bit more from the room itself in that it was bit tired and felt it a bit over-priced, but as I say, location and staff good, which makes a difference. Breakfast good too.

ma chambre donnait sur la rue,

ma chambre donnait sur la rue, très bruyante ; de plus, la chambre était très petite et la salle de bain avait un problème d'aération (odeur assez insistante de moisissure). Mais le personnel était charmant, disponible, prêt à aider. Emplacement idéal pour aller partout dans le centre, à 10 minutes à pieds de la gare centrale, proche de beaucoup de trams, quartier plaisant.
