The hotel Holiday Inn Amsterdam located south of Amsterdam city centre is an ideal hotel for both business and leisure travellers. RAI train station is a 3-minute walk offering a direct 10-minute service to Amsterdam Airport Schiphol. From RAI station you can also easily catch a metro or tram to Amsterdam city centre, both only a 15-minute ride. RAI Convention centre, at 600 meters, is within walking distance of the hotel. Holiday Inn Amsterdam is also close to all main offices on the Zuid-As, such as Ernst & Young, ING, ABN Amro, Baker & McKenzie, Akzo Nobel, Accenture and the World Trade Centre. The Rijksmuseum and Van Gogh Museum are only a short tram ride away. Alternatively you might fancy a relaxing 30-minute walk through the popular neighbourhood Oud-Zuid to reach Amsterdam's renowned museum district. All our 264 spacious rooms have been recently renovated, in addition to our comfortable and stylish lobby. mixed feelings

This was my first trip to Europe and my first international trip in 20 years, they were able to check me in several hours early which was nice though found the lack of a bathroom washcloth very strange (maybe typical for the area), also a single bar of soap. Buffet breakfast was excellent, internet was 22 EUR/day, unlimited pay tv was 7EUR/day more with a special they had going on. Nice clean room, took a while to figure out how to turn the lights on(insert key in special holder), it was decent though in my opinion not nearly as nice as the same hotel chain is in the U.S. (I think it has to do more with style(which is probably attributed to the region) than anything else). If I were to return I would strongly consider staying there. I just have no plans to return to Amsterdam in the future.

Good basic hotel stay!

The HI Amsterdam is a good hotel designed for the short term, traveler living out of a suitcase. The rooms are modern, nice and, clean; larger than most in Amsterdam. The fitness room is basic yet adequate for a workout. There is hanging closet but little or no dresser space in the room to unpack.

The GVB Tran stop (Line 4) is a block away,and the RAI train station a few steps further.

Disappointing stay, indifferent

Disappointing stay, indifferent service, annoying music played in public areas, public areas were far too warm too. I would not stay here again!

Holiday Inn Amsterdam

This Holiday inn is convenient to the Schipol airport and very close to both tram service and train service. While probably better for business than leisure travel, it does make it possible to be close to all that Amsterdam has to offer and still have a short hop to get away from it all.

Schönes Hotel - Super Lage

Das Hotel ist sehr schön und sehr geräumig. Vom Flughafen Shipool bis zur Haltestelle "Amsterdam RAI" mitn Zug "Sprinter" in nur 10Min. Kosten dafür pro Person nur 2,50€. Von der Haltestelle bis zum Hotel sind es maximal 2Minuten zu Fuß. Von hier aus fahren auch 2 U-Bahn Linien, Straßenbahn Nr.4, Nachtbusse und Busse. Fahrt ins Zentrum knappe 15Minuten nur. In der Haltestelle ist auch ein kleiner Supermarkt mit fast normalen Preisen... Im Hotel bekamen wir bereits vor 12Uhr gleich bei der Ankunft unsere Zimmerschlüssel. An der Rezeption spricht man Niederländisch, Deutsch, Englisch, Französisch. Auch das restliche Personal kann mindestens Englisch. Wlan und Lan sind teuer... 4,50€ pro Stunde!!! Wenn man aber lieb fragt an der Rezeption um einen Wlan Schlüssel um den Rückflüg Online-Checkin zu machen, bekommt man kostenlos einen 24h Zugang. Die Flugtickets per PDF einfach an die Hotelmailadresse schicken und man bekommt auch die Flugtickets kostenlos ausgedruckt... echt voll nett! :-) Zimmer und Bad waren sehr groß und sehr sauber. Auch das restliche Hotel war sehr gepflegt und schön. Frühstück haben wir uns nicht dazu genommen weil uns 22€/Person teuer vorkamen... In Amsterdam drinnen findet man ab 7,50€ pro Person schon einen wirklich ausreichende Angebote in diversen Lokalen. Fazit: Echt Empfehlenswert. Falls wir wieder nach Amsterdam fliegen, werden wir wieder in diesem Hotel nächtigen.
