Moevenpick Hotel Amsterdam City Centre

I spent 6 nights the Moevenpick Hotel Amsterdam City Centre, and I must admit that this has been the best hotel experience I have ever had. Upon arrival (mind you, it was quite windy and raining outside and I am a young female that travels alone often (including this trip)), the concierge immediately took my bags from me and put them aside. Guest services were extremely friendly and accomodating as well - they even put me on the 18th floor! My room was extremely clean and had a fantastic view of a canal and the Centraal Station. The first night I was there, I had a fever and fell very ill. I had called room service and they immediately came and brought me aspirin and some orange juice to help. The next day they called and had a doctor come to see me - which was on Christmas, so I was very thankful for the staff and the doctor for them to come. The hotel is located a bit away from the city centre, but is only 1 tram stop away, so this is really great. I especially liked it because I was not looking to stay in the middle of the city, but rather close in a more peaceful area. This was perfect. Also, there is a shuttle service every 30 minutes taking guests Centraal Station. Every day, the hotel room was impeccably clean. I had to also have room service food items and the meals were quite good. I ate one day at the in-hotel restaurant on the second floor, and the chef had even custom made a soup for me due to my dietary requirements. This was the best hotel I have stayed at in Europe, and the best hotel experience I have had to date. Overall, I was very happy, would definitely stay at this hotel again, and would definitely recommend it to friends, colleagues, and anyone who reads this review. Definitely worth the value!

Just came back from a Two Night stay at the Moevenpick with 2 friends. We had a room of 3 and the room was huge! The beds were comfy and the room was clean! We had our own chauffeur who took and picked us from Centraal Station everyday! The staff were really friendly. The only negative I have is the room service food was poor.

Staff was very friendly. The shuttle service to amsterdam central station was very frequent and useful although the hotel was just a trams stop away. Rooms were neat and tidy.

Good location with a terrific view from our 20th floor room (including a spectacular lightning storm one morning). Very friendly and helpful staff. Excellent breakfast, and other amenities. Reliable taxis always available the front door, or a 10-15 minute walk to city center.

Very good stay post cruise. Convenient to cruise terminal and Central Station. Free shuttle to station to pick up trams etc. for exploring city center. Clean, modern design. Excellent service. Good restaurant. Beautiful waterfront views.

An average hotel, but at a resonable price. Clean and comfortable but just lacked atmoshere, was not all that well located compared to others and the service received was mediocre.

Spent three nights at the Movenpick Amsterdam for a friend's birthday. Excellent service from the Concierge Team and Guest relations team. Also well worth the extra cost of selecting an Executive Room. Would recommend this hotel to others.

Very comfortable, quiet and clean. Within 12 minutes walk from Central Station and then 5 minutes to Dam Square. However the breakfast was certainly not worth the 23 euros they tried to charge us and one of the people on the desk needs to be sent for a personality transplant, the rest were very pleasant. I would go back if the breakfast was free, as it was this time but only after an argument that I was not going to lose after a long and fraught journey.

Very nice hotel, with comfortable rooms and luxurious accommodations. Nice amenities including a quaint gym, good bar and restaurant, and business facilities. The walk to the train station and downtown is a solid 15 minutes, which can be troublesome late at night for some but proved to be a nice way to finish off an evening on the town for us.

I thought service and services were very good. I must say the rooms are not really meant as doubles with two unconnected people which was our case - sharing while we attended a conference found the bathroom feel a bit open. Rooms was well looked after delicious coffee tea etc and chocs at night. Breakfast was great and the conference rooms were well serviced.
