In the centre of Amsterdam, in front of the central railway station, NH Barbizon Palace is conveniently located close to Dam Square and the shopping, business and leisure areas. The hotel is suitable for business as well as leisure guests. The quality and service make this hotel a unique place to stay. The 15th century St. Olof Chapel and the hotel's unique conference centre, is the ideal setting for any type of business or social event. A 5% city tax is to be paid at the hotel.

Good convenient location

I had a quiet room at the back of the hotel facing a small canal. The hotel is opposite Central Station, and alongside a small pedestrian street called Zeedijk.

Great Amsterdam Hotel

The hotel is in a fantastic location. The canals are close by and within walking distance. Many sights are also very close. There are many good restaurants close by as well. We were upgraded to a very comfortable room with a great view. The room was very tastefully decorated, very comfortable and spacious. The hotel restaurant has fine food and good ambiance. The staff was very professional and attentive. I would definitely stay there again. We were very happy with the hotel.

A canal boat tour is a good way to have a relaxing and pleasant overview of a very beautiful city, particularly if walking is a problem.

Good location

The hotel is in a good location near the train station, but our room was on the 1st floor next to the street and we could hear everything going on til it quieted down around 2am. The bed had not been replaced in the last 10 years I think, old tv, have to pay to use the fitness center

Excellent Choice

This hotel is in an excellent location near City Centre. The staff were very hospitable and helpful. The room was quite nice with a terrific scenic view. I highly recommend this hotel.

NH Barbizon - June 2011

The hotel is in a great location and the rooms are spacious and modern. The staff was very helpful especially the concierage. the only downside was that we had asked for a king bed and ended up with two twin cots connected together.

Class Act- top notch service!

My Wife fell outside the central train station before checking in, breaking her leg. The hotel director was the first person to help, got her a cab,held our reservations for late check in. After we finished up at the hospital, we checked in and the entire hotel staff made us feel we were the most important people on earth. The staff helped us so much. We will never forget their kindness.

great place to see old amsterdam

This was not our first time staying at the NH Barbazion palace. We went to see the Keukenohof flower gardens for the tulip season and decided to change our dates to join in on the Queen's day festivities. What a fantistic party the city had to celebrate the Queen's birthday!!

All of old Amsterdam is right behind the hotel and the train station is on the otherside of the canal across the street

can u believe this

I had to take the metro from the airpot and back to the airport I was not offered a shuttle. When I asked they told me they didnt have a shuttle. When I knew they did
