Another great stay
Novotel Amsterdam City has become part of our regular locations when in Amsterdam. The hotel has significantly improved over the years. Biggest change is now they are non-smoking. Suggest they move the smoking area to away from the front doors otherwise the no-smoking policy in the lobby becomes irrelevant. The upgraded hotel is great. Rooms are well-appointed. Services and amenities just fine. Breakfast and parking seem a little expensive, but are actually in-line with the area. Funny - they had a dog convention/show and the hotel apparently accepts pets (didn't know...). No problem at all but they should probably have swept the elevators for dog hair more frequently.

Nice Stay!
Room was nice, modern, and clean, and wifi (free) connection was rock solid and worked for minor amounts of streaming. I had a few barsnacks at the bar, and breakfast as well, and the food quality and service were great. The only drawback was that it's a bit away from the central city, but the tram line is a short (2 minute) walk, and the train station is only a minute farther.

It was ok
The hotel was nice and the location was perfect. They need to work on customer's service. The hotel receptionists are not nice and helpful. They are not working together. We asked for a wake up call for the airport, they did not call us. We booked a tour with a receptionist., when we arrived by 8:45 am they told us, it was too late and did not offer to even help us. Finally we have another worker who called the place for us and ask us to take a taxi to get to the tour bus center. Also we were supposed to have breakfast and they did not give us the breakfast. In conclusion,we had a wonderful time and we did not let some unhappy people messed up our vacation!

Should be limited time to use internet. Because it is only 4 computers, should be maximum 10 minutes. People are sitting chatting & facebook when there are a que of people waiting for internet to do more important things.

Walking distance to RAI
Visited outlying areas and saw the windmills, wood shoes being made and fishing village, walked around downtown area and museum area and road the canal boats

Novotel
20 minutes by Metro to Central Station. Aproximately same to airport by train. No taxi or rental car required, even with luggage. Staff were perfect and helpful. The breakfast option was worth the extra money.

location far from city
Breakfast pricey. Hotel pricey given that it was under construction. Should be a nice hotel once hotel is rebuilt. Location close to train station so easy to go around. Safe neighborhood at night for walking.

Städte Trip Amsterdam
Das Hotel war schön und der Preis stimmt. Dass das Hotel nicht im Zentrum war, war nicht so schlimm. Schlimmer war es dass man mit dem Tram eine ewigkeit hat in die Stadt. Wenigstens haben wir so mehr von Amsterdam gesehen;)
