Originally designed in the 17th century as a garden called "PLANTAGE". Nowadays home for "ARTIS" one of the most beautiful city zoo's. Yikes!

This hotel is located far from the central train station but that's the least of it. no need to visit Ann Frank's house Stay in the attic room here for $150 a night and you will get the experience.

Great restaurant down the street..left out of the hotel for a four star restaurant with 3 course dinner...just past the dutch and the dharma/gyro places excellent restaurant for dinner.

Ok for Amsterdam

The hotel was just ok. Twin beds so don't expect to cuddle. Small rooms and the bathroom left a lot to be desired, like a separation from the shower to the toilet so that the water did not just run into the rest of the bathroom. But if you are in Amsterdam, the LAST thing you do is spend time in your hotel room so it suited that purposed - just sleeping. a bit loud with the trolley so bring ear plugs.

Quiet spot in a great location!

We had a wonderful time at Hotel Plantage. We had a great corner room with lots of windows and breezes. Even leaving the windows open each night though, we still slept late and soundly because of its quiet location. Easy access to central Amsterdam via the tram lines or just by walking for the more adventurous. Hotel staff was friendly and helpful and had no problem with us checking our bags with the desk the day we checked out while we had a final day in the city. The cafe beneath our room was also very convenient, and we spent many mornings having a coffee and people watching. We loved our trip to Amsterdam and would certainly stay in this hotel again.

Lucius seafood restaurant was the best meal we had while in Amsterdam. Also, Yscuypje has the best ice cream we've ever had.

Unbeatable location for the price

Bauarbeiten / exzellente Lage

Wir waren Anfang April 2012 dort. Zu dem Zeitpunkt wurde gerade die Fassade erneuert, was Baulärm ab 7.30 Uhr morgens bedeutete. Die Zimmer sind zudem sehr hellhörig. Die Lage ist dagegen sehr zentrumsnah und das Café/Restaurant im Erdegeschoss TOP.

Die Webseite hat nicht klar ersichtlich

Die Webseite hat nicht klar ersichtlich gemacht in welchem Stockwerk die Zimmer liegen.Man hätte auf die Gepflogenheit" je Höher,desto schlechter " genauer hinweisen müssen(Attic Room)??? Auch wurde nicht deutlich,dass der Parkplatz nur gegen Gebühr Tg.2o € zu haben ist.

Chambre familiale vétuste et salle

Chambre familiale vétuste et salle avec un service de chambre réduit au plus simple. Le linge de toilette taché, usé et une chambre puant le tabac. Séjour très désagréable car peu propice à la détente. Douche sans cabine ... inondation assurée dans la salle de bain. Bref ... à éviter
