The Rembrandtplein hotel is a 17th century canal-house. Dating back to the origin of Amsterdam itself. Originally called The dam on the Amstel river, which was later named Amsterdam by the local people. Situated on one of the most picturesque canals in Amsterdam. In the same area where Rembrandt, one of Holland's most famous artists, once lived. The location is ideally to discover this wonderful city and our staff will be more than happy to suggest you the best places to visit and to help you in all your needed to have a pleasant stay. Whom was known on a summer's afternoon to sit, and paint some of his master-pieces on the very canal on which the hotel stands. The hotel has since been restored, recapturing the original charm and character of days long gone. Always a pleasure to welcome you!. Breakfast and 5% city tax are included in the rate.

Romantic vacation

The hotel was absolute horror. Room was very small and dirty. No toiletries, no hair dryer, no A/C, no elevatior. Had to lag our baggage up three floors using very narrow winding staircase. The towels were the size of the dinner napkin. Curtains were dirty and torn. Carpet so old and dirty we wouldn't step on it barefoot. Barely can move in the miniscule bathroom and tiny shower stall. Staff was friendly and location fantastic. Dining room was clean and breakfast plain but decent. Would never go back to the same hotel.

Cosy and lovely hotel

We stayed for a week and we enjoyed it the hole time. The staff was very friendly and social. Location where great, in a quiet street but not too far from the heart of the central. The breakfast selection could been a little bigger.
