Of all hotels in Amsterdam, the Tulip Inn Amsterdam hotel is certainly one of the most unique. The hotel offers a friendly service and a warm atmosphere which make you feel right at home. A home away from home in the bustling city of Amsterdam! The hotel is centrally located only minutes away from the Amsterdam Central Station and some of the most important attractions like Madame Tussaud, The Royal Palace, Anne Frank House and of course Canal Tours. When visiting this hotel in the centre of Amsterdam by car there are several possibilities to safely park your car. Some history on Hotel Tulip Inn Amsterdam. On March 25 1977, the Tulip Inn Amsterdam Centre ( before Hotel Terminus ) opened its doors. Its present address Beurstraat 11-19 ( main entrance ) and Warmoesstraat 74-84 is a series of historical buildings built in different periods during the late 19th century. Each building features its own unique atmosphere. Warmoesstraat 74-78 was rebuilt using the original 1875 foundation. Beursstraat 19 and Warmoesstraat 84 is one contiguous building and has always been a hotel. It first opened under the name Hotel Amsterdam and later as Het Wapen van Friesland . Other buildings were used as private residences or offices. Beursstraat 11-13 used to be a Lingerie and Pyajama factory calles Favoriet .

Great Location!

Great location! The room was large for the area. Bathroom was remodeled, great English tv programming. The elevator was not working so we got an upgrade to the first floor (second floor in U.S. thinking) which was great. I would recommend it to the value seeking traveler.

Tulip Inn Amsterdam Centre

Tulip Inn Amsterdam was well centralized and walking distance to major attractions i.e. RD district, major shopping areas as well as easy access to public transport. Hotel was very clean and staff was very helpful. I would recommend this hotel as it was well situated and easy access to any public transit.

If you first arrive and not sure where to eat and for a reasonable price and selection I would recommend the 5th floor on the DB main shopping store.

Good spot for a short get-away w/ friends. Nothing fancy but was clean and served it's purpose. Price was nice, and 5 minutes to most everything in Amsterdam centre.

Could be a lot better.

I liked the location, but . . . The bathroom &bed linens appeared to be very clean, but there were a lot of small things that were not taken care of such as the dirty handprints on the wall above the bed---made me wonder who has been there ahead of me. In the 3 nights we were there, the staff never replaced the complentary tea cups I used with fresh/clean ones. Even on the front desk, as we were checking out, there was a vase of dead flowers with dirty filthy water in it. The biggest draw back is something they have little control over: the revilers/noise at night from the place on the corner. The hotel is on a very narrow street and people would be parting/loud talking outside my 3rd floor window. Their voices reverbate up to my room. Woke me up everynight I was there.

Awful hotel

Room was in the attic- a tiny space barely big enough for two people. We were constantly banging our heads on beams, doors corners and tripping up the step into the bathroom. The bed was uncomfortable,There were lots of stairs to climb even with using the elevator which broke down twice in our two day visit. There was a lot of noise on the street and we had to leave the window open because it was hot and stuffy in the attic room. If you dare to book this hotel- do not let them give you room 401!
