Hidden at the hub of Amsterdam's lively centre you will find a small boutique hotel, a welcome place in an excellent location. Distinguished by its extraordinary, recently renewed interior, the hotel has a very stylish and unique ambiance. All rooms provide outstanding comfort and conveniences for both business and leisure travellers visiting Amsterdam.Hotel Vondel applies a NON smoking policy in her rooms as from 1 February 2008. As from 1 July 2008 Hotel Vondel is a NON-smoking hotel. The Hotel offers a complete restyled meeting room for up to 30 delegates. The meeting room is equipped with a multi functional wall and features computer connection, TV, CD and DVD player, LCD projector and conference phone. Hotel Vondel - Amsterdam

Got upgraded free of charge on arrival to a huge room. Staff were very helpful and all spoke good English (which is great for the majority of us lazy British tourists) Just a bit disappointed to be charged extra for breakfasts, that were supposed to be included when I booked. Great location near the museums and not far from the centre with all it's attractions. All within a reasonable walk. Should have taken advantage of the Hotel Bike Hire though!

Time-saving tip: In Hotel

Hire a Bike from the Hotel. Everyone uses them and there's not a hill in sight, so there's no real need to be super fit. Just take it slow and enjoy.

Great time at the Vondel Hotel

Great Staff........wonderful location!! Beds were clean and comfortable! Computer use in restaurant was very helpful ! Lots of nice places to eat within walking distance ! We loved it !

Fine modern hotel.

I actually was "upgraded" to the JL Hotel, which has the same owner. It is a very modern hotel, mostly clean and comfortable. However, when I filled the tub and turned on the whirlpool, there were rather disgusting particles floating around. Also the breakfast at 20 euros is ridiculously expensive. The location near the major museums is great.

Great Hotel

I am an American that visits Amsterdam quite frequently. The location of this hotel is phenominal. The feel of the Red Light District is not in your face as soon as you walk out the door, but it is very close. The street that the hotel is situated on is quiet and not hard to find.

Awesome hotel

Awesome room, large, great bathroom, view is great, walking distance to restaurants and museums. Kind of a walk to city center, but it is walkable. This is a nicer area to stay in though for a couple. Comfortable beds!!!!!

Helpful staff and in a very good

Helpful staff and in a very good location, near the major art galleries. Cute minimalist decor. On the negative side, we were in a basement room without air-conditioning, which we took for granted in a 4-star hotel; it would have been very unpleasant in the height of summer. And wi-fi was charged separately. I think that free wi-fi should be regarded as essential in all hotels.

Unbeatable location, close to centre.

Excellent hotel, walking distance to city centre but far enough away to be quiet and relaxed. Rooms well decorated and clean, friendly staff and located next to a park.

small but good

the room was very small and the layout of the hotel was somewhat complicated but ok for a short stay. liked the fact that there was a fridge in the room because there are great markets around and we could shop for dinner w/o a restaurant expense.
