Bastion Schiphol Hoofddorp Hotel Hoofddorp

I ordered a room for $84 for one night with this website 2 days in advance for my mom (she was coming back to Denver,CO from St Petersburg,Russia and should stay just one night in connected city- Amsterdam).I paid in full and gave her confirmation number. It was a Bastion Schiphol Hoofddorp Hotel ( 6 miles away from the airport-acctually it was more then 6 miles...) When she arrived to this hotel they didn't let her stay without paying additional money -$40 more. It looks like much worse then mythical Russian mafi a............. :( Oh,I forgot her taxi driver told her price for the ride to this hotel $15,but on the way to the hotel he stoped 2 miles away from the hotel and said she has to pay $50, otherwise she has to leave his car. What is going on in civilized European countries now???????

One night lay over, great shuttle services, nice hang out with the locals, flat pillow, only one pillow, feel like living in the dorm, you get what you pay!

I stayed at this hotel overnight In transit from Istanbul to the US. It is a bare bones room with no air conditioning. Is not very close to the Airport or the city. So unless you have a car it is impossible to go anywhere to eat and you are stuck in their restaurant. Food is ample but the prices are high. I thought place is overpriced.

Although this hotel is clean, I found my room very cold when I entered. I turned on the radiator which had been completely off and it wasn't until about 4 am that the room was a comfortable temperature. So I had a pretty miserable night of sleep. Additionally when I arrived the man at the desk said that the airport shuttle came every half hour on the :15 and :45. When I got to the desk at 7:10am thinking I would catch the 7:15 bus the woman behind the desk told me she had to phone for the shuttle! So I left later than I had hoped at 7:30. No double bed was available - ony rooms with 2 singles!

We had an overnight layover in Amsterdam, so it was quick. The first shuttle was full, so we had to wait 1/2 hour. Then they took us to the wrong Bastion hotel, and by the time we arrived, the restaurant had just closed--no other restaurants nearby. We had drinks at the bar, but they couldn't find the vodka, couldn't buy the rum, and finally found some gin. But they were very nice, and the room was comfortable (with good pillows).

My husband and I were on a visit from Canada and enjoyed staying in Hoofddorp. The room,although small, was nice and clean. Buffet breakfast in the restaurant, included with the room, was delicious and plentiful. I recommand for American/Canadian visitors to bring a facecloth or two as they are not provided in Europe. Take them with you in a plastic baggy to the next location.

L'hotel est trop loin de l'aéroport ce qui nous rend dépendant du taxi navette, tout le séjour s'est basé en fonction des horaires de la navette pour rentrer et sortir. Vous devriez précisez que la gare pour go a Amsterdam est dans l'aéroport. On perd un temps conséquent de Bastion Hotel à l'aéroport car cette même navette récupère d'autres clients d'autres hotel pour aller a l'aéroport, 30 min de trajet + 15 de trajet gare/ Amsterdam. Je ne réserverai plus chez vous, l'emplacement est vraiment trop contraignant. La navette taxi n'est pas un bonus mais une necessité si on n'a pas de voiture nous sommes contraints d'agir en fonction d'elle. L'odeur du cannabis dans les couloirs pendant 4 jours fut insupportable, vous dîtes que c'est interdit mais vous n'y faites rien pour.
