Pullman Auckland

The restaurant was delicious, the pool/spa was very nice and relaxing. Hotel was very elegant.

Good hotel, we arrived by 8am, they let us store our luggage there and gave us info about auckland. Our room was ready by 10am (and they let us check in at that time)! Very helpful staff from the doorman to the check-in staff! Even gave us a late check-out. Nice facilities(we used their spa area to freshen-up)

The hotel lobby is really nice, check in was easy. They have valet and self parking underneath the hotel. They have Internet in the rooms which were very clean. A single flat screen tv and big windows. There is one restaurant only in the hotel. It's not exactly in the city centre like I thought but about 10-15 mins walking. It's right next to Auckland University so you see a bunch of college kids walking around in the morning, but not much noise which was good despite being next to a college. Concierge Staff is very friendly and helpful.

Good service, good food

Good hotel, clean and comfortable room. Great location. The only thing is that the doors are quite loud when closed, which is rather annoying during the night. We were woken up on a number of occasions by another hotel guest closing their door throughout the night (on the opposite side of the hallway from us) due to loud noise of the door closing.

Concierge staff very helpful. Recent renovations to rooms a good improvement.

Competitive room rates become insignificant once you start getting hit with above-average costs for everything else... $5.00 for a Mars Bar, $7.00 for a canned rink, $20 for 2 hours' internet... front desk staff friendly, room service staff as good as any hotel I have stayed in, anywhere (and I buy around 100 hotel room nights a year, all over the world). Doormen let the staff performance down... I had to help ladies with their bags and open the doors for my wife and I every time we went in or out, while the doormen stood around quite oblivious. Overall, 7/10 rating. Probably wouldn't stay again because of the rip-off add-ons.

Overall the Hotel was great, location and staff were fantastic. The rooms were for a twin share a little smaller then most other hotels but this would have been overcome if it wasn't for the kitchen which let them down. We ordered a laksa and a tandori chicken - the laska was cold and the chicken was barely warm but terribly dry. It's a shame as it's a great hotel.

Met expectations.

The hotel was very neat and clean, and conveniently located within walking distance to the main shopping area. The staff was exceptional, immediately responding (often, in-person) to every request. However, thre beds are certainly not king-size, but any one's standard, perhaps, even Tiny Tim's.
