Great location
Walking distance to pier, buses, sky tower and restaurants. Beds were very comfy and clean. Staff was wonderful. Be sure to book with ahead. We stayed an extra day and had to pay full price which was almost double the O.....price

Walk to the pier and grab a ferry to Waiheke Island. It is beautiful and lunch at the Mudbrick was fabulous.

Start and finish point for our NZ trip
Excellent service from reception staff who were always very helpful. Clean, bright, quiet and comfortable rooms with great views Unlimited, free wifi for those important e-mails to home. Addition of a spa/ gym would have made the hotel perfect in every way. Great location near Sky Tower and a short walk to the waterfront. Queen Street, the main shopping area also close by. Excellent value for money. We made a lot of comparisons over the three weeks and Rydges stood out - but only when booked via e-bookers whose rates were better than from the hotel itself! We only ate in once, on our last day, which was probably our biggest mistake as the food was first class and also excellent VFM. I can recommend the tapas for lunch and note that the portions are huge.

A GREAT PLACE
My stay at the hotel was great. The room was a great value for the money. I had a large bed, desk, and a small sofa, in addition to a good sized bathroom. The hotel was free wireless which seems to be rare in Auckland. The only downside was that you would have to log again after four hours, but it was not that big of a deal. The hotel is walking distance from the wharf area and Queen Street. The Sky Tower is up the street. I would stay there again if I visited Auckland again.

Great trip down under
This hotel is located within a block of the Sky Tower and is in the middle of downtown Auckland. It has recently been updated to a contemporary look. It has a soothing color palette. The bed was very comfortable. We used room service for dinner and it was both prompt and delicious for a reasonable price. The staff took good care of us.

Great Hotel in Auckland
Just a few blocks from the Airport Express bus which you get right outside the terminal, this hotel had all I needed for my stay as a single woman. Comfortable, clean and I felt very safe and well taken care off in every aspect. I got a late checkout and they took care of my bags until I was ready to leave by the airport bus, right on Queen Street. Couldn't have been better!

Airport Express bus to and from downtown.... $16 and close to all hotels and the harbour. Get it right outside the terminals and you get off at Queen Street within a block or two of most hotels. Quick and cheap compared to taxis!

Great location, lovely hotel
We stayed here twice during our time in New Zealand. We enjoyed the hotel both times. It's in a great location - right near the Sky Tower.

Great modern hotel and very central
very modern hotel with hip furniture. It is very central and give you access to everything in the city to almost walking distance. I was at 11th floor with a very opened view and view on City Tower. The staff was very effective and courteous. I really recommend.

Great place to stay!
We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Rydges and were pleasantly surprised to discover it was only in the next block from the Sky Tower (we wanted to visit it, too). The room was beautiful, clean and comfortable. The buffet breakfast was phenomenal.
