- BY CAR: Traveling north from the City center, cross the harbor bridge and take the Esmonde Rd / Devon port exit. At the end of Esmonde Road, turn right into Lake Road. Follow the signs down Lake Road to Devonport, and at the very end, turn right at the roundabout into Victoria Road. The Esplanade Hotel is at the foot of Victoria Road, opposite the ferry terminal. From the Airport... TAXI: A taxi to The Esplanade Hotel takes approximately 40 minutes, and costs around NZ$70. PERSONAL PICK-UP: A pre-arranged personal pickup can be booked via The Esplanade Hotel in advance. You will be met by the hotel's driver with a name board, and the cost is NZ$90. SHUTTLE BUS: A shuttle bus outside the airport can take you to The Esplanade Hotel door, for about NZ$40. From the center of Auckland city... Take the Fullers Ferry across to Devon port (10 minute trip). The Esplanade Hotel is adjacent to the ferry terminal.
