Excellent hotel.

Good Choice
We stayed here at the end of 3 weeks of traveling. I was very happy with the room. It was quiet, spacious, and the bed was comfortable. I appreciated the shuttle service from the rental car drop off and again early the next morning to the airport. The restaurant food was good and it was nice to be able to eat right at the hotel. The location was close to the airport, rental car return and the Antarctic Center. My only frustration was with the internet. I could not get on in my room. Staff was willing to help but mentioned that Wifi was free in the lobby. I still had a difficult time getting on in the lobby. Staff was again very helpful and I was successful in the lounge.If they could clean that up that would be fabulous. Also, we waited a 30 minutes for a pick up at the rental car office. After 30 minutes I called and they were very prompt in coming to get us. Perhaps my problem was that I had the rental agent call for me. Maybe the message did not get relayed properly. Outside of those 2 mishaps everything was great. I would not hesitate to stay again.

Great hotel, wonderful restaurant on-site
We stayed at the hotel after a long journey from San Francisco. The hotel was lovely, and much better than we expected. It is a little removed from the city center, but the hotel gives you a free bus ticket to town. The bus stop is just across the road from the hotel, and buses run twice an hour. There are not any restaurants nearby so we opted to eat at the hotel, and the Patterson's Restaurant was fabulous. One of the nicest meals we ate in New Zealand, although we did not know it at the time, as this was our first night there. In all, it was a wonderful stay.

Great place if need close to airport
The best thing about this hotel is its vicinity to Christchurch airport, and its 24 hour shuttle service. The accommodations are fine, although the hotel is undergoing some renovations. The only real negative is the excessive pricing for the use of the internet.

The facilities at Hotel, alongwith
The facilities at Hotel, alongwith staff helpfulness were applaudable. Plus the proximity to airport, ready traffic access to city - though distant, and adjacent golf course made for an ideal stop-over. I would most certainly stay there again.

Very happy with room, facilities
Very happy with room, facilities and friendly service. Very convenient for early morning departure at airport with 24hr free courier transport. Would stay again.

Excellent service, very beautiful,
Excellent service, very beautiful, very clean. Very close to the airport, but with complimentary bus tickets we could get to the city in 20 in whenever we wanted. Really outstanding.

very comfy beds, quiet and great
very comfy beds, quiet and great location at end of a flight. Breakfast was good. Complimentary shuttle is great with friendly and helpful driver. Reception for check in could have been a little more attentive and efficient, but check out staff were much better.
