The accommodation did not match
The accommodation did not match the description. The lake view was very limited and would never have booked has this been known. The room was also very dark and did not get any sun despite facing the morning sun. The bathroom extractor fan was no efficient. Not having the restaurant available was a detraction as the Oaks is not close to the town centre. The staff need some lessons in PR.

If it was a shorter walking distance
If it was a shorter walking distance to town it would be even more perfect. The walk is about 2k. Great views of the Remarkables and lake. Laundry fascilities were free which was excellent.

Stayed in an apartment with sensational
Stayed in an apartment with sensational views. Could have stayed there forever! Definitely recommend this place if you want something special.

Quite far away from the centre,
Quite far away from the centre, odd room (very bad view, had to use two lifts and walk through a car garage to get into my room), restaurant was closed... The room was large though, 20$ for 24h ouf internet...

Nice Quiet place to stay.Only downside is if you want to walk and dont like long walks its a 20 minute walk to town

Great views but no restaurant
Great views but no restaurant and a long walk into Queenstown and nearest shops. A bit of a trek to find the room. Also fresh towels but rooms not cleaned.

The location of the hotel is amazing.
The location of the hotel is amazing. Just 45 min walk from Queenstown. Guessing how the heating system worked took us a little bit longer, but after that It worked out perfectly. Highly recommended.

There was quite a lot of damage
There was quite a lot of damage that had been previously done to the walls (holes e.t.c) and there had been a very poor effort to make them "disappear". The paint didnt match and there were bits of the wall chipping away on the corners

We had a wonderful stay in a Oaks
We had a wonderful stay in a Oaks Shores 2 bedrooms- 2 bathrooms apartment with a marvellous lake view as well. The staffs we met were very friendly.Facilities are new. In house furnitures and all appliances are new & clean. Only the gas fire place was not working on the last night of our stay.It could be perfect if there is 24 hours maintainence for this. the location is just perfect to me as it is away from the busy town centre but just takes a 5 minutes drive to reach supermarkets & restaurants.
