We saw the writeup on this Hotel in the Sunday magazine and decided to try it as we both enjoy "old world" style Hotels. It is a bit tired but delightful - our triple room was really nice and very roomy however initially we were given a standard double room which was very basic and really in need of a spruce up. The breakfast was really nice and we had a lovely friendly staff member cook it for us! Overall we would go back. The location is great - just a short walk to the front and there is heaps of parking.

This Hotel is centrally located
This Hotel is centrally located in city, and provides comfortable accomodation in 1970's decor. The hotel has been extensively upgraded and offers modern fittings in the bathroom area. Bed matress very comfortable with heat pumps to warm, aircondition all rooms. A beautiful old Hotel inside with leather upholstered furniture. Dining room provides comfortable seating and standard of food excellent for price. Will stay again.

We had our wedding breakfast at
We had our wedding breakfast at this hotel 32 years ago at which time it was called Willow Park. We were disappointed at the very casual appearance of the dining room. The dinning room floor was unclean, still items of Christmas day on it under tables, chairs were not pushed in, cushions on chairs old and some are falling to bits. One side of the dinning room looked like it wasn't used much and tables and chairs were just untidy looking. Plants are old and looking tired. Generally someone needs to sharpen up the appearance as it gives a slap happy look, and not of a quality appearance, or caring nature. On the positive, the reception staff were very pleasant and helpful and our room was spotlessly clean, for that we give you full marks.

sehr schönes Hotel im herrschaftlich,
sehr schönes Hotel im herrschaftlich, gediegenem Stil, netter Pool, geräumige Zimmer, ca. 10 Gehminuten zu "The Strand" - Lokalstrasse, eigener Parkplatz - 15min fahrt zu Mount Maunganui und somit zum Strand
