- The rooms vary somewhat in size, but they are medium-sized on average. They are decorated with subtle style with dark blue carpets and richly coloured soft furnishings. Both the rooms and the bathrooms are in very good condition.

- The restaurant is well known in Bergen. It is a long, low traditional room with surprisingly modern, funky furniture. The hotel also has a very well-known and charming cellar bar.

A gem
The Augustin hotel is a gem in Bergen. Very cozy hotel in an old house. Don't miss the bar and the restaurant! Great experience guaranteed. Excellent breakfast as well, very fresh and home made.

Hotel Augustin Bergen Norway
Very helpful staff. Good location for walking the city. Had a breakfast ready for us at 5:15 am before the taxi came to take us to the airport

Very fresh and friendly. Easy to get to by walking from center and location is quiet. Everything of high quality. There was a bookshelf, free coffee and waffles in lounge.

boutique hotel in good location but...
The Augustin is a family run hotel in Bergen, the location is excellent, less than 5 minute walk to the wharf. It is located on a generic looking street that gets regualar traffic so there is occasional car noise, but during the night there is no problem. My room was cozy with a high ceiling. Typical of a european hotel. The room was very clean. My only complaint was it was overpriced (as is all of Norway) and the bathroom is extremely small with the shower in the middle of the bathroom. You stand in a 3 foot diameter circular space surrounded by the shower curtain. The Augustin has the heated floor which is standard in most hotels in Norway. The breakfast space was a bit cramped around the buffet, but almost all hotels have this problem. I will say the hotel had a unique , pleasent feel (hallways, lounge area and wine bar) typical of a botique hotel feel. If you dont mind a small bathroom, it a pleasent place to stay.

Wir wohnter 2x in diesem Hotel.
Wir wohnter 2x in diesem Hotel. Die Zimmer sind sehr unterschiedlich gross. Die kleinen Zimmer sind absolut minimal und haben keinen Schrank und keine Schublade, also nur einen Haken in der Wand um etwas aufzuhängen. Die grossen Zimmer sind recht geräumig und schön. Internet ist im Preis inbegriffen und in den Zimmern gibt es WiFi, funktioniert sehr gut. Das Personal ist äusserst freundlich. Die Weinbar ist ein In-Place und hat wunderschöne Weine, allerdings zu norwegischen Hochpreisen. Das Frühstücksbuffet ist reichlich. Das Preis-Leisungsverhältnis ist für Norwegen sehr gut. Wenn Sie Zimmer 384 erhalten, so lehnen Sie das ab, weil man sich darin kaum drehen kann und weil die Dusche das Badezimmer flutet. Zimmer im neuen Teil sind empfehlenswert.
