Good hotel, good location
Take the Airport express train to the Oslo Central Station, go out the main entrance, turn left, walk one block and you are at the hotel. Nice to be close but in a quieter neighborhood. Rooms on the front of the hotel have a nice view.

Great Hotel great location
With a view of the harbor and the Opera House this hotel suited our needs perfectly. Only downside was that one of the two elevators was out of order. THe room was very clean, the beds comfortable, and the breakfast delicious. The staff was very helpful, even managed to successfully explain how to place a telephone call on the american mobile phone!

This hotel is conveniently located to Oslo central station and the city shopping precinct as well as many of the city's main tourist attractions. Walking distance to the opera house, harbour, main mall (king johan's gate). Breakfast included, free wifi, friendly and helpful staff.

Great Location, Great Staff
The location and the helpfulness of the staff were the best part of the hotel. The hotel is only a five minutes walk from the train station and bus station, across the street from the opera house, and other attractions (ie, Karl Johannes street or the harbour) are only about five minutes away as well. Likewise, the staff took great care to answer my questions. Specifically, the one girl there was really helpful in terms of advising me the different harbour tours I could take and other sights I could see. When I returned to the hotel later that day, she even asked how my harbour tour had went. I really appreciated that she seemed genuinely interested in my experience in Oslo. All of the staff were also helpful in terms of giving directions, advising about the internet, etc. The other good points about the hotel were the free internet and the free coffee wasn't too bad either. The one day was kind of chilly, so it was also nice that I could turn the heat on in my room (ie, it wasn't only able to be used in winter months) and the bathroom floor was heated as well. The only downside of the hotel was the price (quite high for the 3-star quality, but that's Oslo I suppose). Also, the breakfast was only lackluster ... when I came down later the one morning, a lot of the foods were already pretty much gone, and I would have appreciated more fresh fruit, but that's just my preference. Additionally, although the walls seemed soundproof, I could still hear things from the hallway. I also thought some aspects of the hotel were pretty run down (ie, graffiti in the lift, the carpets and floors in the hallways were really worn) but the room was ok, even though it was pretty generic. I did notice there was a lot of dust etc. under the bed though. Also, the shower was extremely small! Overall, great location, great staff, but for the overall quality of the hotel I would have expected a slightly lower price.

Good Basic Hotel
Really good basic hotel. Clean, functional and friendly. The rooms are maybe a touch small - but not a problem if you're out sight-seeing all day! The location is great for getting around Oslo and there are plenty of restaurants etc. within easy strolling distance. Well served by trams, buses and trains as it's only a couple of blocks from the central station. We found Oslo to be a very user-friendly city - easy to get around, reasonably lively and with plenty to see for a three day trip. Certainly felt very safe walking about at night everywhere we went. Food and drink are expensive, so finding a good value hotel to save the budget a bit was a nice bonus. September turned out to be perfect weather-wise as we had three days of more or less constant sunshine and very pleasant temperatures for being out and about. Would definitely recommend both the city and the hotel to a friend! Enjoy...

Money-saving tip:
Short walk from hotel
Many of the attractions in Oslo are museums and the cost of entry mounts up. Invest in an 'Oslo Pass' which can be for 24-48-72 hours. This is available from the Tourist Info Office (at the central station) and is valid on all transport and for entry to many of the museums.

perfect hotel in oslo !
The hotel is a big hotel chain, but that is OK. It has a great view and close to the sea front and a great view from the blue bridge near the new opera house 1 block away. This hotel is near the harbor, and it is easy to walk anywhere within downtown in 10 minutes. the breakfast is buffet style, and huge ! Lot's of good food typical of Norway. The coffee and tea is very good and always free 24/7. This hotel was $ 140.00 per night in US dollars, about the lowest porice you can find in the downtown area. Great hotel...

Room is clean and spacious, bed
Room is clean and spacious, bed comfortable. I am especially satisfied with their service, we left earlier before breakfast started, but they let us to take bread, ham and coffee from cantin by ourselves. It is located less than 10 minutes walk from railway station, and very quiet. Good value for Oslo.

This hotel is very well located
This hotel is very well located for the railway station, the city centre and all the tram and underground connections. It can be a little noisy, because the tram lines do run past the next street and with no air conditioning, you might have to open the window in hot weather. It was clean and of a reasonable standard - good value for the cost relative to other Oslo city centre hotels. Breakfast was very good and included in the rate, even though this wasn't mentioned during the booking process.
