Radisson Blu Scandinavia Hotel Oslo

VERY Ordinary for the price! Should have stayed at an other Hotel! Nothing Special!

The hotel was in a great location very near the Karl Johans Gate (main street of downtown Oslo) and even nearer to the Palace. There is a small park around the Palace that you can run in if you're interested. The room itself was a bit outdated but they were undergoing renovations of various floors of the hotel while we were there so I can only assume they hadn't gotten to our floor yet. We had a 19th floor room that overlooked the town and provided for a great view. There is also a bar on the top floor overlooking the Oslo fjord and the town. It offered great views assuming you were willing to pay $15 a beer (which is pretty standard anywhere you go in Norway!). The staff was excellent and nearly everyone spoke perfect English. They called cabs for us and arranged for the very convenient airport bus to pick us up at the front door. Oh and pay attention to the signs in the bathroom telling you to keep the door closed during a shower. The steam from our shower set off a silent fire alarm and warranted a visit from the manager. Apparently steam causes fires in Norway????

The data system was down when we arrived, so we had to wait for our rooms. But we were taken well care of, and given a free dinner and drinks while waiting. In the end we got a very nice room, probably better than we had paid for, and the staff was very helpful. The hotel offers a beakfast buffet with a good selction of warm and cold food, so all in all we were very pleased with our stay. We do not hesitate to recommend this hotel to others

Classic nothing is included and then charge like wounded bulls. Parking was more expensive than anywhere else in Oslo. The room was great though. The reception staff were very good but the dining room staff were hopeless. It was literally impossible to get a table because noone was even talking to guests who were waiting. We gave up after 30 minutes.

We stayed in Radison Blu hotels in Bergen, Trondheim, Bodo, and this one in Oslo. We would rate this one the lowest of the 4. It has small rooms, some lack air conditioning, the front desk operation is poor. Checking in and out takes a long time. We had problems with our billing even though we had pre-paid via [...].

The hotel is very nice and easy to find since it's taller than the surrounding buildings. The complimentary breakfast in the hotel restaurant was a bit crowded but in the business class rooms, they offered complimentary breakfast brought via room service as well. It was clean and had free wireless internet in the room. The only real downside was the general city noise from the street outside the hotel seemed a little loud but perhaps someone more accustomed to city noise wouldn't notice.

Beautiful hotel with a great breakfast included! We traveled with a senior citizen and this location was extremely convenient to the central city attractions and had a tram stop right outside. There were 3 of us in the room, which is oftentimes challenging in Europe, but this room was more than accommodating.

The serve the best breakfast thinkable. The scrabled egg's are the best ever! And I have stayed at over 200 hundred different hotels. And the location in Oslo i great as it is close to Akker brygga and other great restaurants in the city.

Took the airport express bus directly from the sirport to the hotel. Very convenient door to door service. The hotel lobby has nice ambience with a cracking fireplace but the furniture is a bit worn, dirty, and shabby. I hate that! Check-in was smooth. The room was also shabby. The carpet had NOT been vacuumed and the bathroom was lacking in towels and shampoos. BUT, the impressive, large and abundant breakfast buffet made up for the unimpressive rooms. I probably would stay there again but know not to expect much as far as the actual room is concerned.
