This nine-story hotel lies in a residential area one block from a subway station and five blocks from the city's central boulevard, Avenida da Liberdade, and Edward VII Park. A lobby featuring Brazilian artifacts, plants, straw rugs, and rattan chairs evokes this hotel's name. Popular with business travelers, the hotel also attracts leisure travelers seeking moderately priced rooms within five blocks of Lisbon's central boulevard (Avenida da Liberdade), Amoreiras Shopping Center, and Edward VII Park. The English-speaking staff eagerly offers guidance to visitors. The hotel offers 192 guestrooms and suites in a white, nine-story building. Rooms are small, European-style. Suites are more spacious and feature separate sitting areas. Was sure that breakfast was included in price when booked on the internet. Was surprised to be told that this was not so, and had to pay 8 euros each for a not too exciting breakfast. i.e. cold scrambled eggs and midget sausages, if you were lucky.

This hotel is very near Marques

This hotel is very near Marques de Pombal metro station in a side street in a residential district, about 20 minutes walk or a few minutes on the metro to the city centre. It's a standard modern hotel, clean and comfortable.

Very small room but with a balony.

Very small room but with a balony. 5 min to metro that will take you to the center (just 2 stops) in no time. Breakfast ok, but takes ages to refill the dishes(buffet).

Expensive internet

The internet access is expensive, but it might be the case for other hotels as well. The room is nice, however the bathroom was not that clean (slightly clogged bathtub).

Positivt överraskade

För att vara ett 3-stjärnigt hotell blev vi väldigt positivt överraskade. Rummen var ganska stora och fräscha och bor man några trappor upp som vi gjorde har man härlig utsikt över hela staden. Bra läge där man antingen kunde promenera ner till tex Bairro Alto på 20min eller så tog man t-banan (som ligger 5-10min promenad från hotellet) som gick direkt. Skönt att inte bo i smeten men ändå så nära och ett bra lugnt område.

Nightlife tip: Not Applicable

Lördagskvällar i Bairro Alto kryllar det av barer och folk ute på gatorna. Man köper en drink på ett ställe och går vidare till nästa, som en stor festival och helt klart värt att gå dit även om man inte ska dricka för att bara insupa atmosfären.

Hôtel présentant un excellent

Hôtel présentant un excellent rapport qualite / prix. Bonne situation dans un quartier calme à environ 20 minutes à pied des bars animés du Bairro Alto.
