- Area description
- Standing on charismatic hills, Lisbon rises above the Tagus River. Well known by being one of the few capitals in South Europe that is located by the sea, Lisbon is the city of the seven hills. However, two hills may be distinguished by their location, on one side, Saint Jorge's Castle while on the other, the traditional Lapa Quarter, chosen by the Nobility and Gentry as their residential area par excellence.

- Restaurant Lapa
- Delicious traditional dishes from Italy served in an elegant ambiance, with an excellent service. Executive Chef Giorgio Damasio. An unconditional believer in the usage of fresh seasonal ingredients, Giorgio does not intend to follow the trends of the last decade, the fusion creativity, which, in his opinion and using his own words, has caused more confusion than fusion. He prefers to follow the path of the cuisine of flavours, taste and tradition, presented, of course, with creativity and elegance. Young, creative, enthusiastic and passionate, he promises to bring to Lapa Palace the best that Mediterranean cuisine has to offer. Only the best and freshest products are used by our Chef to create a wide range of dishes. Menus change every season in order to provide our clients with the very best products available on the market.
- Bar Rio Tejo
- The bright Rio Tejo Bar is one of the most beautiful retreats in the city, ideal for a business meeting and an informal drink on the terrace overlooking the Tagus River. For the afternoon, Rio Tejo Bar has a tea menu to propose to you, offering a variety of 42 different types of tea selected from countries such as India, China, Vietnam and Japan. The river view that wasn't
Stay was good. Enjoyed the hotel and amenities, had only one complaint: we heard a knocking noise in the AC pipes for several nights that was annoying, finally recorded it for maintenance which allowed them to figure out the source and fix it. Only other gripe is that the river view was blocked by foliage, and was more of a garden view. Amenities were nice. Service was pretty good. Distance from the center of Lisbon makes it a little less accessible on foot than centrally placed hotels, but its a short cab ride away (5-6 euros max).

Outstanding in every way !
The hotel was fabulous. Peaceful, beautiful gardens. The perfumed scent of the jasmine was incredible. The waterfalls gave a soothing sound. Exotic fish in the pond right outside my patio.Friendly helpful knowledgeable and very professional staff. Made arrangements for sight seeing a breeze. I wish that I had spent more time in the hotel as it was so perfect, but I wanted to see as much of Lisboa as time allowed. Breakfast was the only meal that we indulged in at the hotel. Every day we enjoyed fresh fruit that is available at home but the taste is so much more superior here. Ahh and the delightful pastries. Light ,unique and so delicious. I tried a different one or two every morning. I can't wait to return. It was the best hotel that I have ever stayed at.

Excellent hotel
Hotel is suitably located, not far from Lisbon center. Cabs are not very expensive in Lisbon. Staff is super friendly and the hotel is beautiful. We had a gorgeous view on the river and the swimming pool. The only thing that we missed was a small basket of fruit or some other kind of complimentary "offer" upon arrival, as we are used to with other 5 star hotels (even some 4 star). Also, they should have coffee and tea in the room for that morning wake up shot on the balcony. The food was delicious (tried room service, fast and correct). They arranged for all kinds of dinner reservations and I would advise you to walk around the area and taste some local "pastelaria" at the many cafés nearby, very cheap and extremely tasty.

Money-saving tip:
Short walk from hotel
Got to Café Cristal or café Valquiria for those typical Lisbon tastes and neighbourly environment.
